Agreed, Lektor did the best he could after a poor initial decision. This has been one of the better Ms OOTs in a while for entertainment value, especially considering the worst ever field by a large margin. Ending the competition now is the only sensible decision as it can't be saved.

The good people of OOT have spoken in overwhelming fashion. It's time to crown our socialist queen (suck it Lektor)

+1

And even if it were possible, politards would have complained anyway because trolls gonna troll. No escape from this mess the minute you let AOC in.
The nomination of AOC brought back into the fold a substantial number of longtime, valuable OOT contributors and spurred the most interest Ms OOT has had in years. Characterizing people who post in more than one forum on the same website as usurpers is absurd.

Grunching. Is AOC Ms. OOT yet?
01-26-2019 , 05:55 PM
What are the eligibility rules and do I meet them?
01-26-2019 , 05:57 PM
Just fyi we could end this Ms. OOT voter fraud by requiring OOT voter ID.

You mean like an easily verifiable 10/100 post requirement?

We can't have a horse as ms OOT regardless of how funny it is to see certain people so upset.

My point exactly. "Used to be an OOT contributor" doesn't mean "is an OOT contributor". And one of the Ms OOT rules to be allowed to vote is (and has always been?) to have been sort of active in OOT over the last year.

It's like goofy asking earlier for someone to be reinstated despite having exactly ZERO posts in OOT in 2018.

You can't attack Lektor for "changing the rules" when you're doing exactly the same thing !

I think we need a photo ID with avatars and join dates and proof of OOT citizenship.
01-26-2019 , 06:19 PM
Lol. So what's happening?

I have not campaigned for the inclusion of anyone who would not have been eligible to vote according to the initial rules this year, or by the rules last year. If you think bringing back good posters is some sort of a sham or detriment to the forum, lol at you.

lol, Lektor reinstated a voter who has no OOT posts since 2011 and you're bitching about...me (???), naturally
01-26-2019 , 06:27 PM
there was a pretty coordinated behind the scenes effort to rig it for AOC, hence the reason that so many irregular posters showed up and voted

implying that the contest merely renewed interest in OOT is the equivalent of saying that the russians merely had renewed interest in american democracy in the 2016 elections

He'll soon learn not every issue can be settled by committee.

!
The rules forever and always have been 100 posts overall and 10 posts in OOT lifetime until Lektor decided to go the dictator route and changed the rules every round to rig it against AOC.

The 10/100 rule is a good rule and has stood the test of time.

I'm all for it ! Why would I not be ? Doesn't mean we have to change the competition's rules for them though, they can always vote next year.

Did he ? I like to believe it's an honest mistake, but either way, this poster's vote should obviously not count.

This is only true of they become actual part of the community again which is unlikely.

Can anyone actually tell the difference between Beer and Soberano?

Never say never, I, for one, am intrigued by who the 100 crappiest cartoon characters are.
