Tip: you are under no obligation to "explain yourself" for anything. Writing mini-essays to defend your position (one in another subforum, no less) is a serious misappropriation of personal energy if you aren't actually having fun with it. Outside of "not running the contest at all", I would have suggested either of these options, depending on how you felt:

(a) continuing the contest with no attempt at intervention (after all, what happened was a logical consequence of the rules in place at the beginning and choices made about who entered the field, choices you had essentially dictatorial oversight over);

(b) explaining calmly that AOC would be DQ'd due to the brigading, not engaging in any subsequent arguments past a very minimal level, and continuing the contest as before.

Anyway, your time, energy, and attention is yours alone.
Go watch some pokemon, and let normal people vote on which broads have the nicest face and ass.

Um - you know who you are talking to? Done more for Miss OOT than you ever will (unless you decide to run it next year)

These seem both on point. Whatever happens, all paths will lead to MS OOT never allowing a political figure in again so it doesn't matter too much wrt the future, however I could see how option B could add some well needed drama to the OTT world.

Thanks for your efforts Lektor, realize that its appreciated by many, whatever path you take.

Bundy is the hero an online fap vote deserves in 2019.

He's already been nominated and seconded for the contest next year

Pleased to hear people saying thanks for running this. The best thanks though is voting and participating in the competition. So I'd like to thank kdub72, I_AM_EVIL and ligastar who have recorded the maximum number of votes so far.

ELITE EIGHT
1 Mareli Miniutti VS Liza Soberano
2 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez VS Rachel Riley
3 Sophie Mudd VS Madison Beer
4 Yanet Garcia VS Sara Underwood

FINAL FOUR
1 Q.1 VS Q.4
2 Q.2 VS Q.3

THE FINAL
S1 VS S2

As this is kind of a midpoint in the competition (we have 3 rounds including the repechage behind us and 3 still to go) I'd like to do a little review:

The competition has been a great success so far, with more than 500 different people casting a total of more than 4000 votes. We have attracted much attention from other subforums which will undoubtedly be running their own Ms. competitions in 2019.

On the other hand, there have been some isolated reports of people trolling the competition (which in the past has been reason to ban voters even who are qualified) or otherwise considering themselves to be in opposition to the ethos of the competition and there are also a high number of judges lacking experience or recent experience judging - in fact there is so much interest from newbies that it's no longer possible to vet them under the old eligibility system.

So, as we come to the sharp end of the competition, in order to be fair to the 8 ladies who have made it this far, voting in the remaining rounds will be restricted to the people who have shown commitment to this year's Ms. OOT by recording at least 4 votes in the competition so far; in other words, there are 232 people who have made the cut as judges for the Elite Eight onwards. Ultimately these are the 232 people who I am running the competition for, they are the ones who have done the bulk of the work of sorting the wheat from the chaff to get to this point and it's right that they should get the final say on who wins.

The list of judges will follow in the next post.

I gotta say, that's an elite veneer of fairness that you've got there. I think there were only 2 or 3 chances to vote for AOC, so setting the magic number at 4 is convenient.

Out of curiosity, how many prior AOC voters have been disqualified by this new guideline?

My bottom line is your contest, your rules. So whatever you want to do is fine with me. I honestly don't care either way, but I'll looking forward to the lawnmowers.

Not a fan of the rule. Politards I reckon have maxxed out on the number of people they can gather to vote in this competition as seen by the last round and the final from previous years really brings out a number of other past OOT posters who, for one reason or another, just vote in the final (for example, there may be some that are fully disinterested in being part of the nomination and elimination rounds and their interest only generates to the point of having a desire to vote in the final).

I'm an ex-OOT mod, I ran the contest the previous two years, I nominated two of the final 32 contestants and posted the nomination pics for two others (so am responsible for 12.5% of the contestants), and have 250 posts in OOT in the last 3 months. I'm not eligible? lol

Votes of group 2 are weighted 3/5 of those in group 1. It was the compromise needed to keep this thing going.
