The Opening Round game (commonly known as the Play-In Game) of the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship is the first official game of the tournament, played between two of the lowest-seeded teams with the winner qualifying for an automatic bid to the tournament.
We did this last year between six or eight of the really bad nominees and the top two got into the main competition. I thought about doing a separate one this year for the IG models, though that would work better if we had a special nomination thread for them so we could get the elite IG models and not just randoms that might get nominated along with everyone else. I'm sure there are way more attractive IG models than some of the ones that I've been nominated here so far.
In any case, Alexis Ren is a legit nominee and is definitely in, and there will be maybe two more IG models. Anyone with a complaint can register it by voting against them. It's not like we have 32 deserving, relevant nominees, so nobody is missing out on a deserved spot in favor someone who is just a model.
I'm fine with real models, just not Instagram whores. It's like okaying Youtube prank video stars for Best Actress
wrong. girls are girls, all girls can compete for miss oot i want miss oot to be the best in the world instead of a subforum embarrassment where all the subforms laugh at oot for being unbelievably lame
Instead of complaining, the best way to ensure that IG models don't get in is to nominate a bunch of attractive women that people have heard of. Not counting IG models, we don't even have 32 nominations.
I was very much in favor of being anti-IG the past few years, but I think w/ modern tech, IG is where many of the new supermodels thrive. I don't see any added prestige/attraction to some random VS floozy vs some IG floozy. Super smoking non twig hotties today would be more likely to try and promote themselves through IG than trying to become a VS model or something...I'm kinda in favor of an IG play in, if not more.
Fwiw the past two years we elected Ana De Armas and Alex Daddario...neither of these two women are likely to play in anything else that we see outside of a rando Hulu special again.
