This thread features the first Ms. Attainability Play-In Round. Top two in each round plus the next two top vote getters advance into the main competition. Polls will be open for 5 days.
The rules are simple:
- Pick the three women you think should move on to the main competition.
- If you vote for more than three women, all of your votes will be voided.
- To increase voter participation, this year we’re relaxing the voting requirements. To vote, you must have been registered since before October 2017 and have an account in good standing (i.e. not be a troll with a history of bad posting, infractions, or bans). If you vote on more than one account or I think you're a gimmick, your vote(s) will not count. Ineligible votes may result in bans.
Make sure you go through the thread before voting. The pictures in the OP are just a sample. If you’re not sure who to vote for, wait until the gifs and other photos get posted in the thread to avoid regrets later.
Haley Bennett: Howard’s been trying so hard to get her in, I just couldn’t say no again. Last year she had two solid performances in The Girl on the Train and The Magnificent Seven. She has launched an impressive career arc and we will be seeing much more of her in the years to come.
Natalia Poklonskaya: During the 2014 Crimean crisis, she was appointed Prosecutor General of Crimea; a press conference given by Poklonskaya on that day resulted in her becoming an Internet phenomenon and manga sex symbol in Japan. She’s now a member of the Russian Duma and a potential candidate for the Russian presidential elections in 2018. My money’s still on Putin.
Sofia Boutella: Sofia’s an Algerian–French dancer, model, and actress. She is known mainly for her hip-hop and street dance, and for appearing in Nike Women's advertising campaigns.
Beyonce: It’s always great when Ms OOT brings to our attention a fresh new talent. I’ve been hearing lots of great things about Beyonce, and I think her career’s about to take off.
Rebecca Ferguson: Rebecca’s a Swedish actress best known for her lead role as Elizabeth Woodville in The White Queen, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination, and her starring roles as Ilsa Faust in Mission: Impossible–Rogue Nation.
Hunter King: Hunter portrayed Adriana Masters on Hollywood Heights and now plays Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless and Clementine Hughes on Life in Pieces.
