I saw this movie years ago and I'm trying to remember the title. I'm pretty sure it was a German movie and at the start it's based on a farm and this farmgirl/woman is about to slaughter a pig and she is laying down next to it sort of caressing it (possibly singing to it) when she pulls out a knife and slits its throat. That's all I can remember about it.

The other movie was American and I think it was black and white. There was some sort of love triangle and the lead female character was pretty messed up and got really drunk at a party and ended up in the backseat of a car with a line of guys outside the car. A man who knew her tried to stop what was happening and ended up getting beat up because people thought he was trying to skip his turn.

Trying to google this stuff just results in some pretty disturbing stuff lol. Does anyone have any ideas as to the names of these movies?

That second one does not sound like a legitimate movie. I'm very familiar with American film and have never heard of such a thing. The closest thematically I can think of is Jodie Foster in The Accused, but that's a pool table not a car.

You should post this question in the Lounge. There are a few super film buffs there who know a lot about very artsy films, maybe this was in that category.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a dream. It was an old movie, I think in black and white but not definite and was set maybe in the 30s or 40s. It was so long ago that I saw it that it's hard to remember. It definitely wasn't an arty movie I don't think. If I saw the scene again I'd definitely remember it. It had an impact on me at the time. Maybe I will try The Lounge. Thanks for the suggestion.

The second one is Last Exit to Brooklyn (1989) & is an adaptation of Hubert Selby Jr's 1964 novel which got prosecuted under obscenity laws in Britain. It's actually in colour not B&W but is set in either the 40s or 50s I think & the woman in question is Jennifer Jason Leigh. Several more known actors pop up in it like Stephen Lang, Sam Rockwell, Stephen Baldwin & Burt Young. Also the film is merely American set but is actually German-British afaik. The director is German anyway. The novelist Selby Jr also wrote Requiem for a Dream.

Also iirc it's actually the guy who knows Leigh who starts attacking the people in line with a plank, to get them away from her.

Second one is legit & a good film actually.
