Could've done without the 10 beers, mozzarella sticks, and 4 JITB tacos last night.

Sounds like a wise decision

Congrats! Officially reached goal. Now you just have to resist all the goodies until the 15th of November.

Ah, your bet ends 11/15, a week before Thanksgiving? You should do another bet: who gains the least amount of weight from 11/15 to 1/1?

At least I don't have that 4 day cruise to deal with now. It's hard not to gain at least 5 pounds on those.

I'd be down. I feel pretty confident I won't be gaining any unwanted weight.

I'm going to try to stay at maintenance for a while when I get to 135. Not sure I'll really want to gamble on my ability to do so over the holidays.

RJ, ec:

So in 2.5 months, you've gone from 160->146 and 222->195?

Damn!

Yeah, sounds right.

He now has to maintain through the end of the bet while I still have to get to 135 by the 15th of November. Pretty sure I'll be under 10 to go on my next weigh in on the 3rd. For me it's a race to get there in time, he's guaranteed 150 at a minimum if I don't.

It's probably a good thing I've kept a steady diet of beer and bar food going through all this. Otherwise, I would've withered away to nothing by now. My only regret is I'm likely to not make a dime off this. Would've been fun to take $50/month of 27 and MBYLT.

To be fair RJ is prolly the best thing to happen to you in years and the other thread is kind of a dumpster fire.

Not sure what "RJ is prolly the best thing to happen to you in years" means exactly, but the other thread is definitely a dumpster fire.

As a tubby guy myself (5'11, 200lb) I'm saying you should be grateful. The money is nominal.

I get that. I mean, I'm almost 6'3, and was 'only' 222, so it's not like I was morbidly obese or anything. Just heavier than I wanted, and needed, to be.

I think I absently threw them behind me this time. Either that or I stripped in the bedroom, I can't recall. Bit groggy when I wake up.

LOL.

I'm sure you can find much hotter ladies on the Internet who will actually let you watch them strip.

Well, I can always hope he's getting fat again.

Today is the 15th, which means I'm at the 3/4 mark of the bet. Weighed in this morning still at 143. I've been sick for the past two weeks with some sort of cold or casino AIDS that has limited my ability to get out and exercise. Or really do anything other than sleep. I do also think it's likely there will be another weight "whoosh" sometime soon, as I've noticed that the scale seems to stay in place for like 10-14 days while my frustration mounts then suddenly drop like 3-4 pounds all at once.

So, here is where we stand. I have 31 days to lose the remaining 8 pounds, which is basically one pound every four days. That's going to require a pretty heavy caloric deficit since my TDEE isn't that high given my current height/weight, but I'm willing to make whatever sacrifice is necessary to get to the end goal and not have to lose money, because I'm a cheap bastard. But then I knew going into this that the last stretch was probably going to be tough, given that I'm very near "normal" weight for my height now so I just have a lot less margin for error.

If I can make 139 by Halloween that'll be a good indication I'm going to make it.

So here's to the final 31 days. Other than my actual birthday, I foresee a lot of very low calorie consumption days in my immediate future. Thankfully, you can eat a decent amount of chicken and veggies with that. I see a lot of chicken and vegetables until November 15th.
