I like this. Wonder if there's an advantage to being player A or B. I'm guessing not, but if there is, could easily be negated by ordering an Apple slice on your first turn.

Could also work, where we simultaneously write down our picks, then reveal.

Player A: Big mac / Player b: FoF
Player A: McDouble / Player b: 10 nuggets
Player A: pass / Player b: Quarter Pounder

So B would need to eat all 5 of those things.

If both pass on same round, then tiebreaker is whoever's items add up to more $ has to eat it.

House,

Better, simpler, and imo more fun to do it the way senor proposed.

This Bulk Fast Food "Chicken" game is gonna be great for two stubborn people. If they just one up each other with small items like a hash brown or cookies, then 9 rounds later they have sooo much food lined up.

the person who can eat more is guaranteed to win in senors proposal. I think auctioning introduces more variance and gives the weaker person at least a path to victory

Alobar,

The weaker eater can play a game of chicken and triumph in senor's game.

I misunderstood his proposal, was thinking you could go all in (so to speak) on any round.

Avoid nuggets. With all that breading and grease they lie in your stomach like a bowling ball. I can eat large quantities of almost any fast food, except nuggets.

Does promotional pricing come into play?

At the McD's around here, you can get 1 Big Mac for $4.09 .. or 2 Big Macs for $5.00. With Big Macs, QPC, Filet o Fish and 10 pc McNuggets on the 2/$5 menu, you'd lose a lot of "value" with every 2nd item.

Got a friend who says his line is 100, he's in exceptional shape but can eat with the best of them

I'd pound the under on that, I don't care who he is*

That's a crapload of lousy food in not that much time. I could see doing 100 in 24h, no way in 100 min.

Senor Keed's "Eat That Order" done in a serpentine to level B's advantage. So pick goes

Round 1 - A,B
Round 2 - B,A
Round 3 - A,B
Round 4 - B,A
etc.

Then a flip of the coin to determine who is A and who is B.

Snake draft is fine, but I also think B ordering an apple slice or whatever the easiest item is essentially levels it.

Rapid,

That is much worse. It's not a draft of picks you each keep, it's a cumulative "tip the scales" type contest. So you've basically just made it worse by making them pick two items at a time each instead of one. The reason a serpentine draft makes sense is because often 1 >>>> 2 >>>>> 3 >>>>> 4 etc. But here, that's not the case at all. In fact, picks 1-x are pretty irrelevant. It's only after x picks that things start mattering, and then you want the next choices to be as granular as possible, and you did the exact opposite.

Also fun would be a draft where both players pick menu items up to an agreed-upon dollar value and then both players simultaneously eat, whoever finishes first wins. Wouldn't have to be a draft (both players could just list their picks with shared menu items being fine) but it would be more fun if it were a draft.
