also, the salt gun is amazing....there was one at our family white elephant a couple years ago, and it actually makes you want flies just so you can kill them

I really want to buy a salt gun and then love somewhere with flies

RG: It's where the low content thread is.
Mrs. RG: Did you say something stupid about your "lawn".
RG: Of course.
Mrs. RG: Tell them I inspected your "lawn" and wasn't that impressed.
RG: I'm not going to post that! Well, maybe....
Mrs. RG: Whatever. Have fun honey.

So tempting. So, so tempting. But I respect you enough not to go there Alobar.

Did we not all decide as a society that using Facebook was an embarrassing phase that most of us went through that we now look back on with shame and regret? Why are people still using it?

I find it's nice to have. I recently reconnected with an old friend from high school through facebook. Turns out we actually live in the same city and he owns a tattoo shop here. We had some fun board game nights with friends a few times before Corona stuff started.

This interaction would absolutely not have happened were it not for facebook. I am annoyed by its ills as much as anyone, but the platform still holds value for moments like these. It's also nice to maintain my younger brother's "Remembering" page, as people still leave heartwarming notes from time to time.

The trick is to avoid daily surfing and only log in once every month or two.

I mean if you're going to have it, you at least have to use the News Feed Eradicator plugin.

My wife and I have missed a few parties that only went through FB, but as a whole still a massive net positive not having it.

I think the people that still use it are why we felt that way in the first place.

Yeah, I hung onto my page for longer than I would have because a couple of my friends would invite me to stuff on there. Eventually I shrugged that off; they have my number, and if I don't get an individual invite then it didn't matter too much.

I stopped using it after my breakup 10+ years ago ftmp.

Giving her ammunition in any way was gonna be a no from me dawg. Did create an alt to interact with a few contacts periodically.

I've never used Facebook. I signed up on Myspace right after high school, and sure enough I spent way too much time on it. After about a year I deleted it. Then a few years later created a new one, and spent way too much time on it. Deleted again in 2010 and haven't looked back!

In a way its kind of sad. There are less than 10 people from my first ~ quarter century of life that are even remotely relevant in my current life. But at the same time, I really don't care about what my cousins or their wives have to say. They're not bad people, I just don't care.

Wrestling is ridiculous, but it's the price you have to pay for all their awesome gifs.

My older brother deleted his facebook because he lent his laptop to a girlfriend, but forgot to log out of facebook. He also forgot that he had *just* been chatting up another fling on messenger, so his girlfriend was immediately greeted by explicit messages the second she opened the browser.

"**** facebook!"

Yeah man, it was facebook's fault.

Dude looks like a crazy friend I had.

I said "shoot".

He didn't, and you are all better off for it.
