I feel pretty bad about this whole thing. It’s the long story of how I came to lose everything!! It might actually be kind of interesting and or tragic.

No one likes to read a wall of text but it’s a long story, here are the highlights with dates.

May 2012 New Girl starts at my job. She was the second choice. The first choice ended up declining the offer. Part of the reason we didn’t pick this girl was her hotness. We didn’t want people to think we hired her because she was attractive and she was a little less qualified than the other girl so it was an easy decision.

June 2012 she gets married shortly after starting and goes on her honeymoon.

Nov 2012 after some flirty texting between her and I over the months with a lot of complaining about her husband she makes it clear she likes me and we kiss.

Jan 2013 we start having sex in secret. She always says her husband is a pos and treats her like ****. It’s worth mentioning she is very pretty and her current husband isn’t the most attractive guy, they started dating in HS(he was 18 she was 15) and married right before she turned 21. Ours is a torrid affair. Sex in different places..lots of sneaking around...It was VERY hot and a lot of fun. I think she really enjoyed the sneaking around.

March 2013-Leaves her husband when he finds out about me because she kept a pic of me haha, he’s a very overweight guy and I’m 6’2 180lbs and work out quite a bit…she just had to keep it. So basically he told her to leave.

Nov 2013-We are living together by now. Things seem amazing. We take our first big vacation together.

Oct 2014 Buy our first house-Things are great!

April 2015 Married in Vegas!! LOL-Things are great! We did it over a 7 day vacation. Got destroyed every time I gambled in any capacity.

July 2015-Start new job(same field and I was recruited to this position with a higher salary and signing bonus)

Oct 2015-Things start to go South!!!Told new job isn’t work out and let go. Long story but whatever thanks for the 5k signing bonus. I had a new job within a day…

Nov 2015 Honeymoon!!! Our Vegas marriage was a honeymoon but we wanted another one LOL

Nov 2015-I have a seizure in my sleep in Mexico on our honeymoon, dislocate my shoulder, and have a general bad time. I had to have my shoulder set in Mexico. Yeah I haggled over the price so what....they wanted 4k. I gave them 2k and that was cool apparently. (there is a lot more detail to this part of the story)

Dec 2015-Start new job. I know the industry but things have changed a bit since I last did this specific type of work, it will take some effort!

Dec 2015-Find out I have a brain tumor and that was the cause of the seizure. I found out while sitting at the computer in my office. Received a call referring me to a Neurosurgeon before I even knew about the tumor. Log into my online health portal and find out...Thanks for letting me know in the best possible way doctors...

Dec 2015-Go away to see my wifes family and have several massive seizures and end up having brain surgery to remove the tumor, 5 hours from home. I was basically in a coma for 3 days. One minute I’m coming back to bed after peeing…I wake up and it’s 3 days later and I’m in the hospital for 3 weeks. There are plenty of hospital details I'm leaving out... I’m home recovering a few days before Christmas. Another general bad time. Benign tumor (phew)

Feb 2016-Recovery is going alright…pretty tough. I lean on my wife and best friend a lot…I don’t have a DL either so I always need a ride to and from work, my wife and best friend always do the driving.

April 2016-Go to the dentist and find out I cracked a wisdom tooth and it needs out. My wife starts to cry on the way home. She has been handling a lot and now will have to drive me around and take care of everything yet again. I also stop taking seizure meds this month(doctor said it was ok). They have been altering my mood and hampering my mental recovery with side effects quite a bit. Made my job really hard so I basically sucked as a husband and employee up til this point.

June 2016-Finally feel like I’m recovering. Get out and do some things with the wife and friends.

June 11th 2016-2nd weekend in a row out with our best friends! I feel great. Go to a party with wife and her work friends during the day and over to our other friends that night. Seemed like a great day but she was distant. We got into a minor argument this evening…she looks and me and says “I want a divorce” I’m completely caught off guard. She says she’s been unhappy for months and has given me time to change. She says she made it clear and I didn’t change so she was out and didn’t see me as a person she could have kids with. Yes I was pretty messed up for a long time.

Aug 2016-Have a seizure and lose my license again.

Oct 2016-Sell “our” condo because she wants out and I can’t drive so I really don’t have a choice but to move closer to work. Take a decent loss on the place. Still split the proceeds with her because she put a little money towards the initial purchase. I paid the mortgage payment for 2 years...ALL OF IT.

Nov 2016-Sept 2017-A slight depression sets in. I get by day to day as a lonely single man. Barely hear from anyone especially my friend and his wife.

Sept 2017-My best friends sister in law notices that my friend and ex wife both have over 200k snap score. This is hard to explain if you don’t know anything about snapchat but this is a really high snap score sooooooo much higher than any of our friends. They are talking to eachother constantly according to the sister in laws logic and I’m not really disagreeing with her. Many people have thought there was something going on between them prior to this so it’s not a huge surprise. I never believed it and I don’t know if this is really any kind of proof but take a look at your snap score right now…is it over 200k? and you are a 30+ year old man? I doubt it.


A few things of note…

-My ex and best friend formed a bond when I was sick it was obvious. After she had moved out of our room to the guest room I noticed she was sleeping with his hoodie balled up as a pillow. I found that odd.
-My ex and best friends wife were kind of besties but only because they were always together by default.
-Friend and his wife helped us a Ton when I was in the hospital and recovering
-his wife and my ex don’t talk now because of our breakup.
-It’s a known fact my ex still talks to my best friend all the time. And they work for the same organization but at different branches.
-my exes apt is now a 5 min walk from my friends mom’s. Apparently he is always saying that he needs to go over to his moms to help her. It’s a running joke how often he goes over there
-I don’t think we ever had a real fight until after I got sick.
-There is a considerably more to the story about the friend, exwife, his actions with her, and of course a lot of events that happened in between these highlights.
-I now think my friend was using things I’d say to him in all of our car rides about how tough a time I was having and twist them and whisper poison in my wife’s ear.
-The sister in law told me the friend has been saying things to his wife that is causing her to not want to invite me to stuff(these two people have been my best friends for 16 years. We lived together in some capacity for over a decade starting in college days.
-Ex wife is 26 and has now been divorced twice.


A couple questions…Is my best friend sleeping with my ex wife? Should I do anything about it? It's been 2 full years since I got sick and a year since I sold my house. Should I just over it?

I did. I know that. I offered to go to marriage counseling and whatever else it took to save our marriage. I was pretty messed up after the surgery...the brain is a moderately important organ and the anti-seizure medicine had MAJOR side effects. Rage, thoughts of suicide, massive crying fits...etc.

Possible. I had an MRI in June and it looked ok. He said there were a few "spots" they wanted to keep an eye on and I have to go back in 6 months rather than a year for another MRI.

So you had an affair with her when she hadn't even been married for half a year and you somehow thought that she was marriage material?

I'm not the vindictive type BUT if i exposed their affair they would both get fired.

So I probably won't do anything. Even though she hurt me deeply I never forget the sacrifices she made and how safe she made me feel when I was in the hospital. A part of me will love her forever.

edit: read story. Sorry about the health issues, hope you stay healthy. My advice is get over it. Enjoy the few years of quality poon you got, be glad you had someone there to take care of you and help you get through that. Then forget about her, sluts gunna slut. I'd be more upset about my friend doing me like that, but what ive learned from OOT is that most people have ****ty friends, sorry that you are one of them.

Well it's funny you say that. I have received a do me vibe from best friends wife on MORE than one occasion. We lived together and then next door to each other for over a decade combined. Over all those years nothing ever happened...but I'm sure it could have.

Edit-Best Friends sister in law hates the best friend for a few reasons. Most of which is he is a shameless flirt and SIL is convinced that my ex and best friend are doing it because of the snap chat thing, her husband saw them having beers after work together(not uncommon for the financial industry). She is also sure if it's not my ex then it's probably someone else and multiple someone else's.

Double Edit-A little more background on the best friend. You guys will love this. About 10ish year ago our friend..we will call him Dave was with a girl. This girl was a shameless flirt and a good friend of mine before she met Dave. One night she calls me bawling and basically says she slept with my best friend and couldn't live with herself and she's going to kill herself. I get over there and she has lightly started cutting. She says "your best friend said that if i told anyone about this he would make everyone believe that it didn't happen and i was crazy" Well somehow he pulled it off and his wife believe him over this "crazy girl"
