Politard bull**** is a big part of why OOT became 'OOT' in the first place. Grunching from where that was mentioned. Used to be 'Other Topics' only, back when the internet was on stone tablets.

Or some versions of FF fries. For example, McDonald's time curve might be close, while In N Out's time curve might be too short (for those who find them edible at all, I know some people don't).

"Soup dumpling" sounds boring in comparison imo.

Sure people post about sports in the sports threads, but the off-topic posts by "regs" is now almost exclusively in the politics thread. The same thing would happen here: OOT-type threads would still function but all low content posting would be politics arguing.

that's a general white person thing not just reserved for hipsters. My most shameful Thai restaurant experience involved someone asking not just for chopsticks, but also trying to order jasmine tea. The server was very condescending, and justifiably so.

I think I have said it before, but my marginal enjoyment of food from good to the best I ever had is fairly small. So while I understand that some people have a passion for certain foods, to me it is perplexing. I understand I'm the oddball here.

Trying to follow every rule of etiquette when eating Asian food is nigh impossible, even for Asians. You attain peak Asian when you realize everyone is mostly doing whatever is best for themselves / their family and you unclench. Unless you're, like, in actual Japan.

So many rules: Plates vs bowls, bringing bowls to mouth, eating with a spoon, rules re: tea, what to do with chopsticks, eating with hands vs not... zzzz... I eat AYCE sushi with my hands, I playfully scold kids for not pouring my tea, eating with a spoon feels gross. F the haters.
