I think patron is a good poster. I am quite sure that I disagree with his merits views on plenty of issues, but that obviously does not and should not matter. I would distinguish my allegedly politarding post on the basis that I was answering a question, although I was probably over the line even so. I also applaud patron for the “wise and gracious” descriptors as applied to certain moderators, specifically including Larry Legend. That is definitely clever.

And I think that Howard is obviously usually a good poster, and is much more of a regular, longtime, better poster than I am. We have had a number of other interactions where we have agreed or said good things or supported each other's viewpoints. I am okay with us each calling each other out in instances of bad posting, or bad rationale behind it, and this just so happened to be one of those times.
