The derail here is caused by the folks tarding up the thread with sentiments like "meh, a spiralling freefall from 35,000 feet ain't so bad, at least they weren't diagnosed with dementia or something!"
Besides, you can always end your life voluntarily and rather painlessly before end-of-life phase, anyway, if you choose (after settling your affairs, saying goodbye to your family, etc.).
And with that, I'm out of this derail now. If you want to carry on comparing terrible ways to day, fine.
