Still not 100% confirmed to be the plane. Will be pretty funny if it isn't.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the possibility that the terrorist pilot(s) set the plane on whatever course towards the south pole and then parachuted out to safety where he was picked up by terrorist affiliates. Is this so much more unlikely than the rumors that are currently receiving credibility?

w0x0f said after db cooper it's pretty much impossible to parachute out of commercial airliners.

It's not possible to parachute out of a plane like that. Plus why would the terrorist program it to fly away from people. Why not program it to crash into Perth itself?

I heard the plan was to offload the mangosteens and lithium ion batteries into inflatable rafts with parachutes.

I think this will go down in history as a bunch of guesses. Hopefully they can at least rule out aliens and black holes.
They'll never be able to rule out aliens, regardless of outcome.

Black hole theory is ridiculous though. They don't suck objects in, objects fall into their gravity. It would have to be huge.

Going off on a tangent here, but what would have to be huge?

Black holes are very massive, but actually quite small, no more than about 4 miles in diameter.

I get being upset with how this was handled, but calling the Malaysian government/military executioners is ridiculous.

I understand grieving families, but the people that take advantage of them are scumbags.

I'm still not 100% convinced it was a black hole but you're right.

Here's a good article about the inmarsat data: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...own-MH370.html

Quote:
Meanwhile, Inmarsat's engineers carried out further analysis of the pings and came up with a much more detailed Doppler effect model for the northern and southern paths. By comparing these models with the trajectory of other aircraft on similar routes, they were able to establish an "extraordinary matching" between Inmarsat's predicted path to the south and the readings from other planes on that route.

"By yesterday they were able to definitively say that the plane had undoubtedly taken the southern route," said McLaughlin.

These pings from the satellite – along with assumptions about the plane’s speed – helped Australia and the US National Transportation Safety Board to narrow down the search area to just 3 per cent of the southern corridor on 18 March.

"We worked out where the last ping was, and we knew that the plane must have run out of fuel before the next automated ping, but we didn't know what speed the aircraft was flying at – we assumed about 450 knots," said McLaughlin. "We can’t know when the fuel actually ran out, we can’t know whether the plane plunged or glided, and we can’t know whether the plane at the end of the time in the air was flying more slowly because it was on fumes."

lol

1. Everyone agrees there's a decent chance this latest bit of refuse isn't the plane, just like all the other refuse spotted by satellites.

2. Given that confirmation of it being the plane would come to use via THE MEDIA, why would we expect you to honor any confirmation? Sounds like you're just trying to freeroll someone.

not to be a dick, but they allege the delays and misinformation is what killed the passengers. that's a bit of a reach.

their letter would be better served to say the delays and misinformation caused additional undue harm to the families.

lol what. i don't see the freeroll here.

he's saying this latest refuse isn't the plane and offering the bet.
tomorrow (or later tonight - daylight australia time) when they begin to collect some of the refuse they will be able to confirm or deny if this is actually MH370.

MrAdvantage wants to bet that it isn't. I don't see the freeroll...unless you think if it isn't, the medial will troll us and not tell us that it isn't.
