The pulwar originated alongside other scimitar-type weapons such as the Arab saif, the Persian shamshir, the Turkish kilij, and the Indian talwar, all of them ultimately based on earlier Central Asian swords. Originally, the Khyber knife (chara) served as the weapon of the common people while upper-classes could afford to import swords from neighbouring Persia and India. Over time, the Afghans combined characteristics of the imported swords and adapted it to create the pulwar. Most existing pulwars date back to the early 19th century.

First of all tanning went great and I hit the gym 6 days this week.

I intended to go to Encore Friday, but my buddy sent me a text at the last minute that said “Don’t hate me...” He was feeling ****ty so we went last night.

The casino is big and fancy. The poker room is as well. It’s a lot bigger than I thought it would be. There were a lot of familiar faces as well as new faces/noobs.

I played 2/2PLO. It was a good table and I played well. I lost 1 buyin within 15 min of playing. Grrr I reloaded and grinder for 4 more hours w bullet #2. Cashed out $493, down about $100, but lemme tell ya, I was getting no cards, and feel like I played so well it feels like a win.

I liked it. It felt comfortable, but of course there were some things I didn’t like.

Based on pokeratlas reviews, the drink service as well as the cage are the slowest iterations going. Also, most of the dealers are brand new and terrible. Seems like stuff that time should fix.


I will be sampling in September! Ive never been to the Northeast. Will be going to Fenway, Yankee Stadium, Foxwoods, Encore, and the ****ing Pats game!

Drink service was indeed slow but why would I give a ****? They have a Dunkin so I had my iced dark roast w turbo shot, extra ice.

One dealer, a young girl 21-23 years old was so bad, I couldn’t believe it. Many others are experienced and are from NH poker rooms.

Def meet up at Encore or FW. Sounds like a fun packed trip.

Also! Dunno if u play Black Jack but the only games available started at $50 per hand. What the efff. You can find $10 & $15 black jack at Foxwoods.
