When I was little there was this barbershop my mom used to take me and my three brothers to in town. There were three older guys who cut hair there. Two of the guys were fine but one guy looked like Fred Mertz and he would destroy you hair and cut the crap out of you. All of us hated him and with their being four of us the odds of one of us getting him every trip was guaranteed. It was the haircut lotto of doom.
To this very day I am still very disturbed about getting my hair cut. In fact my last hair cut was to cut off my hair after growing it out for several years to donate it. That is the second time I have done that. All because of the Evil Fred Mertz. My hair is normally either fairly short, or very long. So there is the truth I hate hair stylists.
Oh yeah also one time when I was little I think my mom actually cut my hair with a real stainless steel bowl on my head, but the memory is kind of foggy.
So there it is.. All my bitterness and hatred is deepseated from some man who died long ago who DID not even go to Haircutting Junior College, I am sure. Since that time what have I had 50-100 one night stands with stylists getting this hair cut or that, asking me if I want it rounded or squared in the back, never ever ever remembering what I said the previous time. "A three on the sides blended in with it shortened on top" I would say over and over with rote memorization as I let one clipper after another cut my hair, not caring and just wanting it to end as quickly as possible. I realize now this torture and pain related to me and hair cuts and styling has been suppressed so deeply in me and now it has all come to the surface.
Imagine if I finally worked up the courage to once again go get my hair cut and I got yeotaed because it was an optional week. I would be a freaking mess. It is not right, it is just not right. You tell someone you are going to cut their hair, you cut their gdamn hair and you don't hurt them and you don't make them cry.
