I have some honest advice that you won't listen to. Because I've been there and it wasn't until I paid attention to the advice that I was able to move on from a previous bad relationship. If you really want closure - that doesn't come from continued contact. What you desperately want right now is his validation, you want the back and forth, and you want him to keep hurting you because then you'll be justified in engaging him. Or maybe that's just how it worked for me and a few of my friends. Stringing along the drama because... well, because the attention, even if negative, means the relationship isn't over.
