Anne, I don't hate you. It's an Internet forum, we all just troll people.

Good luck in your endeavors, and keep away from douche bags!

I'm starting to think this thread and 2+ years of backstory is a brilliant guerilla marketing campaign for the Harvard of Hair Salons.

Yep. My girlfriend is just like you, minus DUIs, heroin, xanax, jail time, felonies, cheating, sleeping around, attention whoring & questionable judgment. Unsuccessful girls hate her as well because she does what she wants when she wants, and guys fall over her because of it.

Keep being yourself IMO. You make the world a better place. **** jealous girls. But inviting 2+2ers to your place of business was a little less than ideal IMO. GL though.

Do you get a lot of requests by name from men? Won't you pretty much know we are 2p2ers just by the fact that a man has requested you specifically? Or are you sent a lot of referrals? Excuse my complete lack of knowledge of how these places work, I'm assuming the clientele is primarily female and that as a student you don't get a lot of direct requests for you.

Also, what about my original question - if we don't want to set up an appointment, what's the best day/time for a walk-in?

And on another note, women tend to hate women. I only hate high school girls and girls that are complete sluts that pretend to be dumb or talk in baby voices trying to be cute. But women are so competitive, envious, etc, they all tend to hate eachother.
This bottom paragraph is probably the truest thing written in the thread so far. Unfortunate, but true. How most women treat each other is probably in the top 5 reasons of why I am glad I am a man.

Don't worry about Gizmo hating you, she hates everyone.

Ignore the haters and keep doing your thing, you are focused on something that you enjoy and have concrete long term goals that you are committed to achieving and are in the process of realizing. That is much more than half of the people in this thread have, and most of them are either jealous or just wanting the entertainment of a trainwreck, which is why they keep attacking you.

You can't change the past, but you can choose how to pursue your future, and that's what you are doing. Stay positive and focused on your goals, and if you feel anything for the haters, feel pity. They need to tear other people down to feel better about themselves, which is why they focus on past mistakes instead of your productive present and future.

Man, I got a DUI here in Sweden for having driven the day AFTER partying and getting a 0.035% BAC. The limit for DUI in Sweden is 0.02% I realize I was being a stupid **** for risking it and yeah its never happening again. 4 months without licence and fines didnt feel too good either. The fact that WVU blames a lot of other things and manages to get DUIs with the US limit for DUI is pretty hilarious. Get a grip man.

Just a sidenote in the madness.

Well, though I make tips, its really not my place of employment, its a school. And if at any moment I told one of my leaders I wanted one of you gone, they'd kick you out immediantly. So if you understood my school better you'd see that there really isn't any danger in it for me.

Thanks for all that.

As for referrals, they rarely ever tell you when you have a return customer or someone who asked for you. Usually its up to you to remember them if they are repeat clients. They just give you a slip and you find the client and go from there. The best times are anywhere from 10am to about 3pm. Saturdays are usually very busy and we don't go in on sundays, mondays or the first tuesday of every month. So, I won't know you're a 2+2 person but I think now I'm probably going to be questioning it everytime I get a client lol. If I were you and if you really are going through with this, call them first and either schedule an appt with me or ask when they can get an appointment with a student in Adaptive. They'll know what that means. But we take walk ins too.

amich; what's the salespitch? 2+2ers are very finicky with their hair! Here are a few of our standard questions:

* Do you have a preferred style? If someone walked in and said, "Just do whatever you want with me." what sort of cut would you tend to give?
* Can you cut asian hair? What's different about that from whities?
* Can you do the "just rolled out of bed" look?
* Can you give a haircut so that it doesn't need to be washed for weeks on end?
* If someone has really short hair and wants to switch to long with as little effort as possible (and not look crappy in between) what advice would you give? Extensions (hair)?
* If you were giving a shampoo/head massage and found a large circular hole in the bone on the side of someone's skull would you:
a) Freak out about it
b) Ignore it
c) Complement it

Thanks

FOB = fresh off the boat.

If you're white I'd recommend not using it in front of other asians. Some (not all) take offense to the term.

Really? I would say listing on a public forum where you work/go to school and what days you are there would indeed be dangerous. Do your leaders follow you to your car? Do they tail you on your long commute home?

That may be a stretch but I wouldn't put it past people to at the least f*ck around with your school since everyone knows your name.

Although you could just be luring unsuspecting pimply cellar dwellers in to meet you then you and your crew can rob them later. No, that can't ever happen. Right?

1st question: I would do whatever would complement their face shape, head shape, complexion, etc and also consider into what they do. If say they are a lawyer I'm not going to give them some edgy styled hair, if they are a mom, I'm not going to give them long extensions or whathaveyou. It all depends.

#2. I haven't had an asian client yet but I'm sure I could do it just fine.

#3. Yes. Thats not hard. Give a good blowout, use different products, give some messy tundrels, scrunch it a lot, and make it look sexy messed up.

#4. I could but you'd be better off buying "dry shampoo" where you spray it on your scalp or anywhere it may have a bit of oil and itll look freshly washed.

#5. If they wanted the natural way, I'd say take biotin and hair, skin, nails supplements. It makes your hair grow stronger and faster. If they wanted immediant results it depends on their hair and their ethnicity and what look they want.

#6. At out school, if someone has say anything majorly gross or weird or wrong with their scalp, like a cut, blood, rash, "hole in bone lol" or whatever, then our leaders tell them we can't service them. Its a liability not to mention gross and no one would want that client.

We have security and usually we all walk out together. I'd know if someone was following me or ****ing with me and I'd simply call the cops. The school supports us very well and if anyone tried to hurt my schooling or or **** with the school they'd take action. So again, I'm not worried.

Unfortuneately you have a lot more to worry about than a standard a,b,c attack. What you post stays on the internet forever. This thread could be found by potential employers (please don't say fine but I will work for myself as a stylist because you have no idea what ten years will bring). Some guy you like may search your name 6 years from now, etc. That said, I don't think you are anything but a normal young person, who had a few legal issues. Some in this thread try to make you out to be Bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde or some nonsense, where from what I can see it's farily normal youthful indescretion. Point is, you don't have a good sense of what you should and shouldn't share on the interent. I happen to be a lawyer and facebook and other online stuff is increasingly being used against people in lawsuits, it is very common. OOT, or whatever can be entertaining and some good discussion goes on along with all the trolling and hilarity, but I urge you to think and read about privacy and the interent and reclaim your privacy Michelle.
