Its pretty standard for minor violations. They don't really care about you since it was a minor crime. Since it costs money to transport you to Florida (which I think Florida has to pay), they don't want you if you are outside the state.

Here's what happened, according to police: On June 1, 2008, two men had arranged to meet the women near near Sedgefield Elementary School in Hampton. While the men were talking to them, two other men robbed them. One of the victims was struck in the head by a gun.

Albecker and Hall were caught using a credit card belonging to one of the victims, police say. One of the victims' credit card was charged $105 at Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Newport News. Albecker, who worked there as a waitress, received a $100 tip from a $5 purchase.

Additional charges on the card led detectives to the Victoria's Secret lingerie store and the Champs Shoe store both in the Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News, according to an affidavit for a search warrant. Hall was seen on surveillance video purchasing lingerie and shoes at the shops, and was arrested and charged with credit card theft, credit card fraud and two counts of conspiracy by Newport News police.

Hall and Albecker were charged with two counts of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and use of a firearm while in commission of a felony by Hampton Police in connection with the robbery near Sedgefield Elementary.

What was the Pennsylvania arrest for A?

Having a state decline to extradite is in fact very common.

The cost for transporting from someone from Oregon to Pennsylvania for minor/misdemeanor charges just doesn't make sense from a cost/benefit analysis perspective. Happens all the time - cop pulls someone over, finds out they have an out of state warrant, bring them into the station to contact that state, they decline to extradite, cut 'em loose. So as long as you stay out of that state, you might never actually get brought up on those charges.

Of course if you have like 16 states you can't go to it can cramp your style.

I get the concept, but DUIs are a high $ thing, and the state could certainly level court costs to cover extradition.

It also occurs to me that there might be a more technical term or phrase than the "no backs" that the reporter used.

In my younger days, I would have been so proud to read such a thing about myself (minus the DUI, of course).

haha! guilty as charged, but the 'gets in' needs to be amended to 'used to get in'. and honestly i don't really remember any real 'bar fights'. but it's just semantics i guess.

cannon is awesome when you put 3 scoops of black powder in tho.

There seems to be a direct correlation between the two in some people.
yes indeed there is. OP referenced klonopins before, friends used to call them 'cliptopins' because we used to use 'clip' for steal (ie, 'he clipped your lighter') and whenever people would take klonopins they'd be like, 1000% more likely to shoplift or put something sitting on a dresser in their pocket.

makes sense though when you consider that drug is supposed to reduce inhibitions and everyday fears. take a handful and you wouldn't even worry about the consequences if you did get caught.

OP...true, right?

p.s. i think i remember reading those arrests before, but god DAMN are they much more funny this time.

I'd think if you had 16, the state you're in might want to pay to extradite you.

Not if you had a minor charge in each of those separate states, which is what I meant, not 16 charges in one state.

It boils down to distance and cost. If the cost of extradition is greater than the cost of the offense, the agency won't extradite.

So warrants out of small towns in like NY, Florida, Texas, etc. aren't going to pay to transport someone picked up in East Bum **** Missouri.

Tyson's Corner confirmed pretty upper class. But I have no idea what could be two hours away and still considered an upper class suburb. Even in the worst DC traffic.
