You def don't get convicted criminally. Could be some headaches though.. :/ I doubt you go to jail or BS like that, but she def might sue you for some $$$ (which puts you out $$ regardless of whether or not you win).

To check for breathing, you don't even have to touch her. I think matt's line is prob most correct though.

Yeah, I'm kind of thinking the same thing...If your friend isnt coming very soon and/or she cant wake her up...I'd call the police and tell them exactly what happened including the part where you saw her naked, face down and closed her door...

Ok aladare just went and checked on her. She was fairly incoherent but ok. Still have no idea where her car is. I guess she confided in aladare on another evening when she was pretty buzzed that she was depressed and lonely and thinking about moving. Kinda sad.

FYI - butt was not hairy imo. A little mushy but not bad for 45.

No need to touch a passed out person to see if she’s alive or not. If you look close enough you can see her breath (or not). And if she breaths she most likely has a pulse …

She' was lying on her back, facing away from the door. I'd have had to come way into her apt. around to the other side of the bed. Definitely some splaining to do if she wakes up at that point.

How about “I saw your door open and was worried if you were ok?” At least it is a lot better than touching her (or leaving the scene if there was a good chance that se was not ok).

But to tell you the truth in that unexpected moment I would have probably done the same as you did. Closed the door and afterwards worried about the situation.
