He was enjoying himself at a party in a Village near Kosice (Slovakia) with his Brother, when he was set upon by a gang of 'Gypsies'.
Apparently they tried to provoke him to fight but as a professional kick-boxer he could not and WOULD not retaliate.

Reports say, he was attacked by up to 8 men and repeatedly punched and kicked on the ground, as too was his brother. The organisers tried to lock him safely in a back room but the 'Gypsies' kicked the door down and apparently he was last seen jumping out the window at 3.40 a.m Sunday. His Body was found by the side of a motorway approximately 1 kilometre from the Party some 30+ hours later.

This guy was an outstanding guy and had achieved so much. Apparently he had been involved in a serious car accident whilst young and the doctors told him they must amputate his leg, he refused. Through determination he excelled at kickboxing and won two Silver world medals. He also began to coach, and had just been approved to open a kick-boxing gym.
An always outgoing, positive and kind man, he will be missed by many, many, people.
Rest in peace Champ.

Goddamned gypsies

From what i can gather, the main instigator is the big guy pictured who is/was a security/bouncer (Not that night) and he was jealous of Ladislav.
Its all still a bit sketchy, plus its only covered in slovakia which i dont understand, but many people are saying He and the other gypsies wanted to be known to have 'beaten a world class kickboxer etc'

Oh, sorry, if you mean why wouldn't didnt he retaliate? He would lose his kickboxing license as he is deemed as a weapon. But, i think he and his brother did not expect them to be so violent and to be killed. Of course, he must be allowed to defend himself but i think he was felled from a blow from behind then beaten unconscious, the same as his brother. So i guess he didnt have a chance really
