At my wedding we are recognizing those who have passed as both the bride's and groom's grandparents and Brother Gregg.

The twitter language detector bot needs to take some lessons from google draw.

Having it trucked to them will cost close to $1500.00.

I spoke with the manager and then ultimately the owner and they've refused to offer any assistance unless I pay in advance to have it trucked to them. Am I out of line to be mad? Is it unreasonable to expect them to come get it and have it repaired?

The discussion with the owner went downhill quickly when I used the word "god" in our conversation. The owner told me not to take the lord's name in vain and that he expected an apology from me. There was no apology but less than 5 minutes later he told me "You could be struck down by lightning for taking the lord's name in vain." The conversation ended shortly after that.
Contact the local parish thingy asking them to pray for his soul, letting them know that despite his willingness to swindle locals, that you forgive him and hope that he finds his way to the lord. If you can do this by email somehow it's even better, because you could just CC in the company.

For some reason that Hooboy thread being bumped has really tilted me, almost as much as that crazy christian tractor salesman messing with the captain.

Accutane, pie, ADHD meds, and dating the crazy. OOT is becoming a parody of itself.

I'm selling my daughter's gecko. She doesn't care about the thing and wants a gaming computer, and I am sick of having to cover her ass when the gecko needs stuff, so this was a great solution for all. I listed it on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. The Facebook Marketplace was surprisingly effective.

So now on Wednesday I'm driving to east bum**** to meet somebody who buys a gecko from a stranger off Facebook. I feel like I should really try to enjoy these last few days with my kidneys.

Better check to see if the purchaser has a gun!

There's a market for used geckos? I'm trying to think how much you'd have to pay me to drive somewhere to meet an internet rando to sell them a used lizard. I'm having a hard time believing the lizard could possibly be worth that much.

$350 for the gecko, tank, etc. The gecko itself is worth more than when we bought it because it was a baby then.

The argument certainly exists that I would be better served by giving it away or donating it to a school and then coughing up the money myself, but part of this is a half-hearted attempt at having "her" come up with the money for the computer.

Big market for used lizards: market for new, leaking oil tractors, not so much.
07-16-2017 , 03:49 PM
What's the market, I wonder, for big, leaking lizards?
07-16-2017 , 04:27 PM
I have something else that's big and leaking and the market for it is depressing, simply a downer.
07-16-2017 , 05:58 PM
Yak, apparently it's a (very) soft market.

Tough spot:

I got a chipotle burrito to go that I plan to eat in 2 hours. Refrigerator or leave it out?
07-16-2017 , 06:16 PM
Fridge it. That much time in the danger zone for chipotle food is probably fine but why risk it?
07-16-2017 , 06:17 PM
Place in trash and eat a better burrito
07-16-2017 , 06:18 PM
Leave it out to fortify your immune system imo.

10 years ago I really liked Chipotle and Cheesecake factory. Have had them both this week and was extremely underwhelmed.
07-16-2017 , 06:26 PM
probably closer to 15 years actually
07-16-2017 , 06:34 PM
I wouldn't worry about putting it in the fridge.

Odds are it's already covered in e-coli or salmonella

How is a gecko better than a garden variety lizard out in the yard that you get for free? I caught one awhile back in the house and just let it go in the yard. Maybe I should have put it on ebay?
07-16-2017 , 06:57 PM
TIL Chipotle was founded in 1993. I would have thought it was much newer than that.
07-16-2017 , 07:22 PM
I may start a gecko farm.

Any idea of the current market for 10 y/o red-ear slider turtles?
07-16-2017 , 07:33 PM
A shell of what it used to be.

Footage of the flash flood in Arizona is crazy.
