oT,

Words With Friends is stupid. Get Scrabble.
01-22-2018 , 04:28 PM
I don't disagree, but really only open the app to get crushed by GMan on the regular. I was playing with a couple of RL friends, but they both gave up.

You can play two O's directly below the C and get three words for more points.

I just ordered one.

I’m addicted to Sam Harris’s podcast. I saw him live a couple of weeks ago and am working my way through all 110 or so episodes. Much of what he discusses is very interesting.

That name is so plain I almost didnt look him up, but I did. Actually intrigued.

If i found out my team used a first round draft pick on a Sam Harris, I would be unenthused.

Big: he’s very wide-ranging and generally quite deep. He’s a neuroscientist and spiritualist who digs in with people on various science, neurology, philosophy and political issues.
01-23-2018 , 08:21 PM
The atheists all worship Sam Harris.
01-23-2018 , 08:41 PM
I definitely agree with Harris’s atheist positions, but that’s a separate issue from why I recommend him here — I’m much more interested in his interviews with cosmologists, geneticists, cancer scientists, and the like that I enjoy so much.

Big, you’ll want to listen to his very first podcast, in which he describes the pluses and minuses of LSD. I won’t spoil any of it here, but it is a phenomenally articulate and insightful set of thoughts on the issue.

Thanks for the recommendation, i'll check it out tonight.

Is "doh" allowed? If so you could technically play cooee to get rid of more vowels though leaving the dw and tl (and possibly tw) open there would be a mistake. Kind of makes me want to start playing wwf again. It's been years since I played any kind of Scrabble.

Not sure where the age estimates were...was it the bad posting thread? Anyway...

Might have an extra beer tonight

Is lakpa Russian, or is she actually Romanian?

I think I found her, she's actually a famous tennis player, and she just posts here under a secret identity.

patron,

wtf, that sounds nothing like lapka. See my Anna Rudolf video in the old LC thread for someone who actually sounds exactly like lapka.

Ugh, thanks for the warning. I like Anna Rudolf, but her Hungarian accent and sing-song cadence makes me want to jam forks in my ears.

This is pretty mind-blowing to me.

I think it is a good idea to feel the closeness of death at any age. It changes priorities and actions.

Edit: This is from pleasant weather, with a leash that was subsequently chewed through.
I scrolled through the whole thread to find him. He is on the cover of tapatalk and makes me smile every time I see this flying curly fur.

When is the last time we had a good new OOT thread?
01-26-2018 , 09:28 AM
How about a sauce, spice and condiment thread? Could be spicy.
