I feel your pain. It seems unnecessarily complicated.

It kind of reminds me of when Starbucks blew up ~20 years ago and ordering a "tall" for a small confused the **** out of everyone. Except in this instance, Philz has taken that madness to a whole new level.

A new Philz opened right next to my work a couple weeks back and I did the exact same thing the first time I went. After paying, I waited near the baristas for 15 minutes wondering wtf was taking so long. Felt like an idiot when I finally realized I was doing it wrong and sheepishly told one of them what I paid for.
He made it in 30 seconds flat though!
