I have been really flakey with this post for like..2mnths but it's summer and I rather enjoy it than type tl:dr answers
. On the real tho I try to give everyone a proper answer but answeing 5 is kind of time consuming so....I'm just gonna be quick.
1. Kind of ? Yes! Wait no
. No music ever dies. It is def less popular than it once was obv and I'm not up to speed on DnB in 2010 but it seems to still be there with some of the usual suspects doing there thang so...Prob not dead.
2. Beatport charts don't always suck. I know I said something like that but I have come to realize this is not the case.(long story). Finding "the new hot music" depends on what you define as "hot" but I'd say in general it's a combo of finding out about some of the bigger tunes of the moment within your "style"and aquiring them before they come out (so u can play it b4 it gets outplayed and also just to have the new hot track
) - And - Always digging for hot tracks that have been overlooked / hot tracks period. Then there is all the "promo mp3s" u get tht out of the tonnes...There is always some hot **** tht often never even gets signed. Hot tracks get overlooked alllllllllllllllot more now than b4 because there is like IDK...100 times the volume of new music being circulated now than there was 10 or even 5 years ago.
At the end of the day tho A hot track is what you find a hot track. I di encourage the digging part.
