As minor "holidays" go, April Fool's Day is the worst one. It's not like we needed to invent an additional vehicle for people to think they're funnier than they are.

Anyway, let's get going with the LC thread. The Apostle is still not on a major streaming service.

It's not me procrastinating. It's the streaming services not adding it.

My current movie-watching queue across my streaming services is at 79. And that doesn't even account for all the great TV shows I haven't watched. And I'm ****ing paying to jump something ahead of all of it instead of waiting patiently? Seems legit.

The other day, I finally got around to watching Heat for the first time. I made the horrifying realization 20 minutes in that I was getting a censored version of it.

My options were:
1. Stop watching.
2. Keep watching, endure the censorship.
3. Pay $4 to rent the damn thing and watch it in its full glory.

I was already captivated at the 20-minute mark, so #1 was out. Given said captivation, I actually considered breaking my rule and dropping the $4 as a small price to pay in order to live a richer, fuller existence in which I have watched the uncensored rendition of Heat.

Obviously ended up going with option #2.

I wish OOT could impart some of this principled nittery to me, to be honest. I looked for The Two Towers Extended Edition on streaming last night, could not find it. Theatrical only.

Two Towers extended cut is definitely on HBO Max.

If given the choice between:
*Subscription to HBO Max; and
*Subscription to every other major streaming service;

I'm probably just keeping HBO Max. That's how far out in front it is over the others.

I have a friend who recently had surgery to "have half my colon removed due to cancer." Surgery was a success, and I am determined to send a text or email addressed simply to ";"

I figure I'll have to wait about two years and continually reevaluate my plan and timing.
