Sure it has been in here before, maybe even by me, but "ask" as a noun in place of request makes my BP jump.

Trial as a verb is as bad as ask as a noun.

Get a couple of pals that are in on it and try to see how often you can use the insufferable terms in meetings to add some joy to your day. Some of my band of *******s favorites, (not sure how many are more specific to my own company's yambags or universal, and we do try to find new ones to introduce as much as we can also):

-circle back
-fast and furious
-got a lot of runway (or not enough runway)
-give you back x minutes (when a meeting ends early)
-run it up the flagpole (and see who salutes--for extra points)

You're asking about a five-year-old post?

The answer is yes, I've done it. But it helps to be management.

My co worker went on some specialized diet where the only foods are desserts

They come in tiny portions and she's lost a ton of weight but goddamn you're only eating dessert! Why do you think that's better?

The rewards of putting your best effort into soulless initiatives until your life force is drained and you become numb is pretty sweet tho.

quite a lot of people in australia use 'revert' to mean 'reply'. i know.

so you will see stuff like 'please revert as soon as possible'. apparently it spread from india but it's used by a lot of white people. it probably happens in england too.
