Investing in gambling stocks, yay or nay? Investing in gambling stocks, yay or nay?

11-12-2021 , 07:46 AM
I was recently presented with an opportunity to partake in a new online casino. Participation was meant to take place in the form of funding the endeavor, meaning I would need to consider it as an investment. Since I’ve rarely invested in anything in my life, I was reluctant to go into the project without a thorough analysis.

Regardless, numbers are merely a part of the equation for me as a person, because I rely just as much on my gut feeling. It’s never let me down so far and has gotten me out of some hairy situations. It’s that gut feeling that caused me to try to seek information across various forums that specialize in gambling enthusiasts.

What I know about gambling begins and ends with “it exists.” I don’t know the first thing about how it works, though I’m told that online casinos specifically are among the most innovative and successful businesses around. A friend explained to me that these companies use various strategies to target different markets, not unlike what my company does
I’ve yet to analyze the determinants of success for an online casino business, but the purpose of this post is to ask, why does the US, one of the most progressive and forward-thinking nations on the planet, restrict such a lucrative market? Legislation seems to be fierce, which is contradictory to the fact that this country was the one that, de facto, popularized gambling in the first place. What is the reason for such circumstances?

Land based businesses and religious organizations that make massive donations to politicians to vote against it. The end.

Thanks for removing the spam, but can we scrub it from the quote in post #2 as well?
