Same goes for Dresden 1945. Is every bomb dropped out of every plane (and it's detonation obv) a seperate event.

Dude, even the article you linked lists paragraphs titled "First Explosion" "Second Explosion" and "Third Explosion"

I hate to tell you but the Bath School Disaster was NOT the sickest single event in the history of mankind.
all those things listed are under the umbrella of WW2, they cannot be viewed as independent events, the narrative doesn't make sense if you view them that way. its not like America dropped the bombs for no reason , despite what some of you might want to believe

Auschwitz alone was gassing to death up to 20,000 people EVERY DAY. Including women and children. Every single day of holocaust, if viewed as a single event, is so much worse than what you are referring to. It's a tragedy what happened to those kids but it really pales in comparison to so many other things.

While I don't get why you feel the need to capitalize "EUROS" you might want to take notice that I listed massacres committed by, uhm EUROS. Even one committed by germans (my nationality)

But whatever, if you want to see the killings of innocent americans as the sickest single event in the history of mankind, how about 911? Was that four seperate events? Or 6 (the 4 impacts of the planes and the 2 crumblings of the towers), or 10 (the hijackings of the planes, and the...), or 14 (the boardings of the hijackers, and the...)?

I don't know about you, but to me 911 seems pretty sick and pretty single event-ish and most if not all of the victims were pretty innocent (I don't know if there were more than 40 children among them, though, sorry).

I never meant to say that the holocaust is less "worse". I sure wouldn't commit that faux pas. But it isn't a single event. The context is a lot bigger. I'm talking about unique, isolated events.

At least McVeigh targeted a federal building full of (mostly) adults.

Euros were the victims too

you're just being idiotic with your inability to recognize what are isolated events and those that are part of a larger context or narrative. 9/11 was clearly bigger than just the hijackers prerogatives. It was just the next progression in the previous attacks on the WTC, US african embassies, naval bombings, etc.

McVeigh and OKC would have been a way better suggestion.

Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

I am interested if anyone can come up with a single, ISOLATED event worse than bath. That isn't part of some bigger war or movement.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabur%C5%8D_Sakai

Quote:
Although in agony from his injuries (he had a serious head wound[11] from a bullet that had passed through his skull and the right side of his brain, leaving the entire left side of his body paralyzed, and was left blind in one eye,[12]) Sakai managed to fly his damaged Zero in a four-hour, 47-minute flight over 560 nmi (1,040 km; 640 mi) back to his base on Rabaul, using familiar volcanic peaks as guides. When he attempted to land at the airfield he nearly crashed into a line of parked Zeros but, after circling four times, and with the fuel gauge reading empty, he put his Zero down on the runway on his second attempt. After landing, he insisted on making his mission report to his superior officer before collapsing.

300+ killed as opposed to 44. unless this was just part of the broader context of the ongoing war on clowns.

Not sure many people know of Americas role in supporting and supplying Afghanistans mujahideen fighters with millions of dollars in arms and aid in the 70/80s, pretty interesting

It was all worth it, I got tons of drawn out responses, multiple people scouring wikipedia, one guy changed an entry, and people are still responding like you.

Plus bombing an elementary school is still an all-timer of a stand-alone sick event.

I'd say it's #winning all around here.

I was totally going to respect the request to stop aidsing it up with this discussion, but as long as other people keep firing it out there, let the good times roll.
