It's picture dependant. With some pics her eyes show 5 or more colors, I do use a 40 in tv for my internet. I find the right pic and zoom 400x.

her eyes, on some of the pics, are so perfect. Although they prob have been touched up by some guy amazing photo enhancer.

This was not only the cover of a Nat Geo's 1985 issue, it was the cover of The Best 100 Photo's of the 20th century.

Her eyes look good, in part, due to the pronounced limbal rings.

"Donald Charles Alfred Crowhurst (1932–1969) was a British businessman and amateur sailor who died while competing in the Sunday Times Golden Globe Race, a single-handed, round-the-world yacht race. Crowhurst had entered the race in hopes of winning a cash prize from The Sunday Times to aid his failing business. Instead, he encountered difficulty early in the voyage, and secretly abandoned the race while reporting false positions, in an attempt to appear to complete a circumnavigation without actually circling the world. Evidence found after his disappearance suggests that this attempt ended in possible insanity and suicide."

That was fascinating. Apparently there's a movie coming out with Colin Firth playing Crowhurst.

Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to the movie. The story is an interesting one, makes you wonder exactly what drives a person like that.

Cliffs:

Psychopath boards a ship and plans a mutiny

Before mutiny can take place the ship is shipwrecked on a small island

Ships captain leaves the wreck to find drinking water and puts psychopath in charge

Real life Lord of the Flies happens

Wow crazy story. Some things made no sense to me though: Why did the psychopath think that his co conspirator would rat him out? I guess just pure paranoia but makes no sense imo.

Also they returned with a ship from Jakarta to save the remainder of the passengers, find out at the majority have died and the ship is still too small to take them all so they have to start executing people on the island? Maybe they just meant that they decided not to bother wasting resources on him when the conclusion was already decided more or less.

I think I've mentioned it a few times in this thread, but on of my favourite podcasts did an episode on this - The Dollop: The Batavia

I wanted to get more information on exactly what a "breaking wheel" was so clicked the highlighted link in the wiki; yikes... NSFS - not for the squeamish:

Spoiler:
The "Zürcher Blutgerichtsordnung" (Procedures for the Blood Court in Zurich) dates from the 15th century and contains a detailed description of how the breaking on the wheel shall occur: Firstly, the delinquent is placed belly down, bound hands and feet outstretched to a board, and thus dragged by a horse to the place of execution. The wheel is then slammed two times on each arm, one blow above the elbow, the other below. Then, each leg gets the same treatment, above and below the knees. The final ninth blow is given at the middle of the spine, so that it breaks. Then, the broken body is woven onto the wheel (i.e. between the spokes), and the wheel is then hammered onto a pole, which is then fastened upright in its other end in the ground. The criminal is then to be left dying "afloat" on the wheel, and be left to rot.

Hard to believe what people can come up with to do to others in the name of "justice".

Damn that Batavia story is crazy. I never read that one before.

Interesting that it said at the bottom that Russel Crowe bought the movie rights to the story in 2016. It could be like a Master and Commander 2, only with wilder plot twists.

Thethethe enjoyed the podcast thanks, but I wish the two guys who not try to be funny the whole time. There were quite a few awful moments between them which just slowed things down a lot.

Podcast still sounds good, going to give it a listen and hopefully jokes aren't too bad. I read the breaking wheel article before posting as well and man people were just brutal.

I’m 30 mins in and it’s been 100% terrible so far - had to turn it off. Does it get better as it goes on?

Story sounds interesting so might just read about it instead.

I'd say "no" then. If you didn't like their sense of humor then the last 2/3 is going to be the same. I found the story interesting enough to endure them, but that's just me. I also thought they had a few good moments, but for the most part they were just throwing out stuff and hoping someone found it funny.

I find the live shows are much worse (with exemption to the ones where Patton Oswalt guests), and normally give them a miss.

In general the stories they do are way funnier than the guys (which might not be saying much considering some of the comments on here... ).
