It would probably live but be so badly injured that it would be too inhumane to keep it alive.

But yes, if the cage crushes into a pulp upon impact, then so will the bird.
off a 3 story building the bird is going like 30mph when the cage hits the ground, sorry, but it aint doing anything but hitting the ground and dying

Meet me in the containment thread please, Alobar. And look up how fast a hummingbird can fly.

That's just because birdlaw in this country isn't governed by reason. Not saying I agree.

can you throw off 90/100 birds safely in one session? you have to retrieve the bird cage yourself.

So all the humming bird needs to do is go from going 30 mph downward to 0 mph upward in the span of about 12 inches or a couple hundredths of a second, (this is with the lol assumption that the bird orientates itself no problem in a tumbling accelerating cage, and we'll also ignore the fact the cage is going to bounce, so he better not quit at 0mph), which works out to pulling over 50 g's....the bird is dead.

I know why.

Spoiler:
Never read the poem, but I'll just assume it's a story of the bird hoping to break free from its shackles and peck its owner's eyes out.

Need to know that before I can answer this accurately.

So many folks don't get this...and it's so sad.

4) They begin pawing, grooming, caressing the now-quiescent gorilla, positioning themselves all the while.
5) At a prearranged signal by the team leader, each fighter springs into action.
6) The gorilla returns to alertness only to discover that each of his limbs is pinioned between two fighters who've locked themselves around it. Then someone bites off his penis.
7) The rest is purely medical and doesn't require elaboration.
I mean, this wasn't on par with Commodus reacting to the "rate my GF" pic (but really, what is?) though I still remember LOLing IRL

This thread is worthless without Youtube videos of people throwing birdcages off of roofs.

More simple.

If the bird was already dead when the cage was thrown off the roof then it wouldn't die again, and it wouldn't live either.

Depends on the size of the bird, the size of the birdcage, and the height of the building.

This is the logic I used when I was 9 and 9/11 happened and my solution to surviving was jumping with a chair then jumping off before it hit the ground.
