What do people feel about statuses that aren't that mean, stupid or preachy etc, but are just super-frequent updates on mundane **** in their lives? Is there any explanation for this except narcissism? Example, all from one guy:

'gonna do some salsa dancing tonight!, should be alot of fun!'
'salsa classes are back at xxx street gym '
'practice defiantly takes a toll but im enjoying it alot!'
'watchin Arsenal vs Liverpool on Fox Soccer Channel, should be a good game'
'gettin a skype call from my mom, made my day, i love them so much!'

Literally every week he updates that he's going to his weekly salsa dance. Constant statuses of watching a movie with no review - just that he watched it. Also posts a lot of pictures of his parents etc just to say they're like the best ever. It's different from standard attention whoring, but I can't think of a reason for it except that.
