I guess I should get pissed at my girlfriend and her siblings for posting pics of their late father as profile pics last weekend then?

The pic wasn't anything graphic or disturbing, it was actually quite beautiful imo. I'm sure that's a huge part of who she is and I don't think it's at all outrageous to represent that with a profile pic.

Jay, are the pictures of the father of when he was alive?

If you lose your baby you get to post whatever you want on FB. If you're just fat and pregnant and want to share a bikini pic with the world, that's annoying.

I don't wanna see pictures of any part of a dead fetus and nobody else really probably does either, and if she was smart or had any common sense she'd realize that. It sucks that she lost the baby but come on

Sure she can, but people can still say it's uncalled for and attention whorey. Miscarriages happen a lot more often than people realize. Not every woman who loses a baby feels the need to make it other peoples' problem.

Baby looks pretty late term to be an "average" miscarriage. Late term losses are brutal on people and I won't judge anyone who has been through it.
Sure other people can, but it's pretty terrible to do so. Especially by calling someone who just lost their kid an attention whore and saying something like, "It happens ALL the time!"

Jesus. A late term miscarriage is totally completely different than one that happens at six weeks or whatever. At that point you are allowed to grieve anyway you want and **** anyone else's comfort levels.

I saw your comment to tschubauer, which is what I was responding to. Not the photo itself. The photo is pretty immaterial to your philosophy of "women who lose babies should be allowed to do whatever the **** they want", which is obviously dumb. Unless you add "while also being able to be called indecent".

I think we would because it sounds like tschubauer hadn't seen the picture yet either, since he mentioned "dead fetus", and you didn't correct him. I was operating under the assumption you thought it didn't matter if it was a "dead fetus" or not, let the woman mourn in public.

I think I would be hard pressed to defend someone who posted anything dead without tact. The picture has tact, though.
And even I'm not so nitty as to correct "dead fetus" into "dead fetus' hand" though I suppose in the future I should be.
