my roommate just shared this, I have no clue what level she is on but Einstein seems to make a statement for the "most known person on the planet " thread.

The 21 days thing sounds intriguing but I wish they'd reveal their sources. Cue Einstein joke.

By the way that last Einstein quote is pretty terrible. I wonder if one of them is actually true though, how would we know?

I stayed drunk for 21 days back in '93. Was hoping it would mean I'd never have to buy liquor again (since being drunk was now a habit). Didn't work.

Thanks a lot, Obama.

I kinda like that 21 days thing. If they had a shred of evidence supporting it I would try it right now.

Perhaps if your rich daddy paid his tax the NHS would be better equipped to deal with your problems quicker.

Most of the time it is because a patient is set to be seen for one symptom and then when they get there they have 5 others they want checked out or they come to a walk in clinic or make an appt with their family physician for something like chest pain or left side weakness when they should have gone to the ER or they are not honest when asked what they would like to be seen for until they get in the Dr's office and then they have a whole other reason they want to be seen.

Most medical back up is caused by the patients themselves. We don't just stand around staring at the wall just so we can make people wait because we love getting bitched at all day by sick people.

Also if you go the ER and 4 people come in with chest pain and you are there for a fever with stable vitals, well then you are just gonna have to wait and if someone comes in after you throwing up blood then you are just gonna have to wait some more.

Yeah I had zero ER wait time that night that I walked in at 3am with busted oral sutures and projectile bleeding any time I opened my mouth. You just have to know how to work the system.

You missed my point completely. Patients need to help us help them and the number one thing they can do is be up front and honest about their medical conditions so the appropriate amount of time can be set aside for them. You have no idea how many people don't speak up about medical problems until they are in the office or the appt is almost over.
