Mesmerizing isn't it? I love how she looks back at the end like "Oh yeah, I got this."

"Omg UPS u suck big hairy balls for delivering my package somewhere else and letting someone sign for it. *******s."

This one is pretty funny though. This is a girl's post. The last word is a-holes.

A girl I went to high school with once posted something to the effect of "Passed my biggest kidney stone yet this morning. X cm. So painful."

I blocked her feed immediately, obviously.

Stripper who's been posting for the last two months how incredibly awesome her boyfriend is, and how madly in love they are, is now single. Shocking.

Yeah this one was a pretty amazing twelve hour turnaround from my boyfriend to "is single". Guessing she did not see it coming.

Yep standard among a lot of women. I find it comes from the insecure ones, the ones that need to validate the ****ty relationship they are in. Super standard stuff becomes a huge "brag" to these women: "omg best bf ever, he made me breakfast in bed!" later that day "i just don't ****ing get men at all." then the next day "omg he cleaned the dishes, BEST. DAY. EVER."

I think 60% of women are bi-polar. But I'm only 20% sure of that.

Yeah I have one person on my friends list that does that constantly. In a relationship with someone, and then a week later she's single and is like "I'm so glad I know who my real friends are."

She also likes to post "inspirational quotes" and things like "doing [insert girly thing] to pamper myself. I love being a girl"

Amazing blog called 'STFU parents' that screenshots a lot of themes discussed in this thread:

http://stfuparents.tumblr.com/

Example: parents bitching about how hard it is to have super smart babies

They've even invented a new term: holidayjacking is when you use a holiday or memorable day (9/11) status update as a vehicle to talk about your kid.

Example:

lols.

I had a friend (girl) in college pre-Facebook who used to celebrate monthly anniversaries with her boyfriend and make a HUGE deal out of it. She would get all dressed up and tell everyone: "Going out for our 2 month anniversary!". Like it is some Herculean feat to survive being with someone for another month. Needless to say, she got bored and cheated on him for about a year with another guy, essentially having two boyfriends. Then her original boyfriend found out and she broke up with him and stuck it out with number two who (surprise!) turned out to be a total *******.

womens.

That site is pretty good. They have things called "Mommyjacking" where moms just totally ignore someone's update and talk about their kid. I read one where a girl was like "Uggg, horrible day! My life is so hard!" and someone responded with "Cheer up! I'm pregnant, remember!"

Facebook really really needs to let you block out comments.

My best friend just had a kid, so I really want to see all the pictures and updates about the little guy (basically my pseudo-nephew) but I also really don't want to hear all the fawning and cooing and nonsense from all the soccer moms and other folks.

Grue,

The only way the girls is under 160 is if she's 4-8.

Love to imagine the family dynamic of people who name their kid Odin then rant on Facebook about how people come up to them asking why their kids cant be as smart as their own. Sweet Jesus. Would make good non-main characters on some sort of sitcom.

A girl who got knocked up early just posted about how she's having a great day because she got a "permotion" at work. About 21 people have posted saying congrats. There's some "and you're such a good mommy!" comments in there too.

Even I feel kinda guilty about bitching about that one but CMON.

Everyone's grammar sucks on Facebook. I nit it up on 2+2 on egregious errors but I expect more out of 2+2 than my Facebook friends. It's probably a really bad idea to call out grammatical errors on Facebook. Bigtime -LifeEV. Just let it go. At this age, people like that are basically done learning.

This reminds me though of something funny. My childhood best friend barely uses FB but he finally posted a pic with the caption "theirs my pic!". He's married now (I don't know his wife) so I looked at her page at photos and stuff and she's a fan of the facebook page "knowing the difference between there, they're, and their!"
