annoyed by modern day music "production". Nothing but a huge spike in the upper midbass. The uneducated listener believe true, deep bass actually exists thanks to the way frequencies behave at the harmonic resonance points. A 40Hz frequency has an 80Hz resonant point. Same is true for treble in the "presence" region. Engineers spike these frequencies to make recordings "pop"

I've yet to hear a recent recording that actually sounds decent if it doesn't come from a specialty label, or is from an artist / genre that is known to care about such things.

Yeah- people c/ping stuff in here need to make better use of the quote function. It's too hard to tell what's the post, what's the commentary, and who is stupid.

Real solid inside information you got there. If someone who just enlisted says we are going to Iran then it just has to be true!

Chuck Norris was born March 10, 1940. Nazi Germany surrendered on May 7th, 1945. Coincidence? I think not.

I have a serious question (well 2):

why would someone that's not famous have a twitter account?

who would follow some rando's twitter?

I'm genuinely curious as to what utility people get out of twitter, aside from the obvious 'i love famous person x and want to hear about what they're doing' which makes sense

Replacing "famous person" with "friend" in that sentence doesn't make more sense to you?

Categories of people I follow and why:

1. Clients (VC Firms, Companies) - Lets me keep up on their latest happenings.

2. General News, Industry News - Same as above, but broader

3. Sports - Guys like John Hollinger have interesting analysis and funny in game commentary. Guys like Adam Schefter know about injuries and whatnot that impact fantasy lineups.

4. Comedians - They bring the jokes

5 Friends - Keep up with that they're up to

the list that noah provided is pretty much what I was thinking about - but why have your friends on there? isn't it just like "omg whitney houston's dead #iluvuwhitney" and "at gym hey look at that body i work out #lmfao"?

I probably just don't get it
