Meh- I'd still call it annoying vague booking. That kind of **** should be a tweet, not a status update imo. (and if they're both for you, you are the worst person on earth- that goes for anybody that uses facebook/twitter interchangeably).

ETA- I do realize that this is just me being a crank, but I think facebook status kinda stink as an "in the moment" thing.

I mean, I agree it's lame to post stuff on facebook like "OMG KNICKS WIN AGAINS #LINNING #LINSANITY #IHEARTJEREMYLIN" but a) it's lame to post stuff like that on Twitter too, and b) like 90% of statuses people post on facebook work perfectly fine on Twitter, even if the reverse isn't necessarily true. IMO it's way worse to post multi-part tweets on Twitter that would be much better as a blog post somewhere.

using hashtags on facebook is a sure sign of an idiot

"in the moment" type statuses are perfectly fine on fb as long as you arent giving play by play or something ******ed

To me basically the reason we don't have a "stupid tweets" thread is because tweets are fleeting, in the moment, things. If my 7 tweet epic on WSU football annoys you, it's gone in 20 minute anyway.

Facebook status have a bit more permanence, and can lack the context of time (for instance, I don't watch basketball much and was avoiding twitter for Justified spoiler related reasons, so didn't know about Lin's shot when Pete posted).

But again, mostly just me being weird and nitty. Also <3 Pete

I dunno, those tweets during the Grammys about women saying they'd let Chris Brown beat the **** out of them anytime were unbelievably idiotic/tilting

Though I'm curious now to find out how blocking really works, facebook doesn't exactly make this clear.
Thanks tips

Friend's convo with her boyfriend on Facebook. He's maybe 5 years older than her, says she's got another 15 years to go (maybe that's a quote from something I guess, doesn't seem like it), likes his own status, then asks if he can claim her as a dependent on his tax return, wtf? Both Harvard graduates btw.

One can't help but notice the similarities between the Jeremy Lin story and the Tim Tebow story. Something is happening in our culture and it is a step in the right direction.

and

Who's got two thumbs and thinks that Valentine's Day is the worst commercialization of a holiday ever but still believes that having a criminal law quiz about murder, manslaughter, and homicide is oddly appropriate? This guy.

w/ valentine's day and linsanity, it hasn't been a good week of facebook updates.
