Had a good conversation about MLK Jr in the car with the kids this morning, which flowed into a discussion of why some of our friends/their friends' parents can't get married, why that's wrong, and what we're doing about the issue. Why is something that is so easy for kids to see as being wrong, so hard for some adults to see?

Yeah, because black people getting hosed in the street, being unable to get good education, and being denied service at all kinds of establishments for 100 years before which they were chained up in barns working the fields every day is completely analogous to Adam and Steve being unable to get a meaningless marriage.

Also, when you completely indoctrinate your kids in whatever your personal beliefs are, whether its standard liberal garbage or ultra orthadox religion, they will always find whatever you told them "so easy for kids to see as wrong". FYI.
