I would be more impressed with the way god did it than the sheer probability of it all. How awesome would god be if he thought, "****, faith is down, i know what will get their attention"! A lame, uncreative god would just make Tom Brady a jesus freak, but a genius god would make it Tim Tebow.

good friend of mine who is currently moving cross country. besides the random ass nicknames he has for his friends, very reasonable. here is one of the comments from some chick idk (my friend is not religious):

Quote:
Awe XXX............If you are following God's will and not your own, you'll be fine. He will give you peace and the strength you need...... Isaiah 48:17 ~ Thus says the Lord, Your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go".......Love you and praying for safe travels. Hugs!
"Follow God's will and not your own" might be the worst piece of advice ever given in the history of man.

so hard not to troll comments/statuses like that.

Taking potshots then hiding behind "ending the derail before it starts" is pretty lol from someone standing on such high human philosophical ground.

ime the majority of 2p2 is not religious (especially itt where a lot of people have posted similar religious ******edness from facebook) so im guessing most people here would agree her comment is pretty lol, certainly wasnt taking a potshot. religious derail comment was me just being a smartass, by all means start a debate on God's will if you want!

I don't want to get into it, but posting that the comment "might
be the worst piece of advice ever given in
the history of man." is not quite the same as posting a stupid religious status/comment and just loling at it.

How does this one stack up?

Meh - fine in isolation. If it's part of a constant stream of unsolicited advice/ranting/whatever then its annoying.

I'm seeing a couple of these:

"I'm going to Mexico for 4 months", which is just supposed to a product of your birthday. January = Mexico, 4th = 4 months. You just post it, and then sit back and watch the confusion on your wall.

Narcissistic and annoying.

jj,

Maybe because of living in SF with lots of eco/enviro/health-nut/hippie types, I get particularly annoyed by statuses like that. I still think FB is a pretty stupid place for that though.

I mean watching something and learning and then trying to have a conversation about it should be the top end for a site like facebook. Yay exchange of ideas and growth and what not.

But my first response was obviously a giant eye roll.
