One pretty annoying part of that interaction was that his reply basically said exactly the same thing as her initial message. This is something I see all the time even from my friends who are better at using facebook.

Given that it appears English people and black people are independently way worse at Facebook than other demographics, does anyone know any English black people on facebook? Are there even words in their statuses?

So ****ing glad all Swedes are basically atheists. I see something about god maybe once a year on FB. I even made a rant on how organized religion makes me sick and how its the biggest evil of them all and I just got people agreeing.

I can't post examples cos I deleted my facebook, but any time there was bad weather about 10 girls would post updates about how it's a day for "lying on the couch under the duvet my man, a cup of tea, lots of chocolate, and lots of DVDs" or words to that effect. So annoying.

The latter. I have two facebook friends in particular (both guys) who are CONSTANTLY doing the comment baiting thing, and each have their own 2-3 friends who ALWAYS respond. One of them (the commentors) might as well just be copying and pasting, "I hope everything is ok Derek. You know you can always call or text me."

One of the two friends is the one I posted about in this thread whose status updates were always, without any deviation, about spending time with his "beautiful wife," until the day he found out she cheated on him. Posting publicly about a spouse cheating on you is pretty much a royal flush for comment baiters, so of course he posted about it and has been doing nothing but woe-as-me comment baiting ever since, mixed in with a few positive messages about God's plan.
