meh this doesnt warrant a thread so ill put it here,

so my mom paid a woman to do work on her website, just changing a few things/buttons and admin stuff. pretty basic. it was just like $300. shes a local too and was recommended to her by another she did work for in the past.

long story short, shes been asking for weeks for an update or the work to be completed on her site/refund and the girl has simply ghosted her with 0 refunds. it was something that was to be completed within 2 weeks as it was fairly small amount of work. Its been 8+ weeks and no reply after multiple attempts.

after talking to other ppl that paid her.... shes taken their money too and not done the website work. the others are just writing it off their similar losses as a loss and to not recommend or deal with her again. f*** that s*** tho even tho thats where we sit.

i wanted to make fake FB accounts to spam how shes f***ing scum but then ldo she will know its from one of her "clients" and i dont want to start problems online with someone that had Admin access to their website/businesses and is clearly a little evil.

so is just suck up the loss the +EV move? Its so weird like she did tons of work for other people and obviously was recommended positively and now has just been sucking in money and ghosting her clients for like 2+ months now.

the part that f***ing pissed me off the most tho... is that shes still posting on facebook advertising her website work and posting daily standard girl posts how life is so great, meditate and stuff, how shes travelling to places etc and continuing on like nothing happened. She doesnt seem to have any negative feedback.

shes gotta have balls of steel to keep scamming with real name etc or maybe she just KNOWS people wont do s*** or call the police over $300 scam. weird spot tho eh. Theres literally nothing i can do to get her money back...

Change passwords so she can't do anything to the site then leave dodgy feedback everywhere? Definitely speak to the police. They probably won't do anything but, it doesn't hurt to try.
