Saw a post from a women I don't know who referred to her husband as her "Knight and shining armor." Not sure if that belongs here or in the shouldn't piss me off thread.

For all intensive purposes, it could go in both.

I'm not sure which thread it belongs in, but it has certainly peaked my interest

Jebus I hoped someone corrected her for her sake. How she wrote it doesn't make any sense so perhaps she just mistyped or was a bit stoned?

Reminds me how in an LVL thread a couple weeks ago someone caught hell for saying "Case and Point", which could be argued to make a little more sense i guess but not much.

This was the wife of someone I went to high school with and as far as I can tell they are good Christian folk with a toddler daughter. Doubt she was drunk or high...just wrong. I'll go see if she was corrected.

Edit: nope, nobody corrected her.

The best line from Tony Soprano's Russian goomah was "where is my knight in white satin armor?"

^^I'm mostly never surprised, but occasionally disappointed by the people I know who will asnwer these stupid ****ing things. I've never spoken to my wife about this, but if she ever responds to one we will need marriage counceling to even have a chance.

My respect for people who answer the "would you live in this mansion without facebook?" or "would you go camping for a month for $100,000?" always declines slightly.

I would love to go camping for a month but not for 100k. I'd pay like $600 tops.

That's one of the dumbest things I've seen considering the massive amount of grammatical errors in just that one (should be) sentence.

There is an evacuation in Oroville Ca because a dam might break. The comments on the live news feed are at least 1/3 people saying liberals in California deserve it. It's a very red area of the state, not that it matters.

Also, the "English is *well" comment was a joke because there were many errors in that post but using good was not one of them. Going forward I'll skip the attempts at sprinkling subtlety into my usual heavy-handed bs.
