Pretty sure it's different now. Before I could only see when one of my friends posted on another friend's wall. Now I can see when they post on
anyone's wall. And if I click the update, I can see the post and whatever they're commenting on - from someone I'm not even friends with.
Although I think what might be happening is you can only see when they comment on someone else's wall who has made their wall available to "friends of friends". Because any time I click on that person's wall, I can still see it.
So the big difference is that even though before you could have seen that friend of a friend's wall, you wouldn't have seen the comment from your friend in your feed. I think.
I will investigate a little more.
