I'm doing it now and it is working. I don't care what medical say. Logic is fact. The point in your neck that you put the ice on contains your central nervous system link straight to the brain. Think of our heart as a battery. The central nervous system are electric cables. and your brain is just a big hot memory bank. Your heart stays warm bc it's suppose to be that way. When batteries are being used the are hot. But the heart isn't the main topic here. The central nervous system is always flowing with our current. Back and forth through our brain constantly. Current; electricity is a hot circuit so the link in the nervous system to the brain is the best place to put the ice. It slows down the flow and relaxes you. You can also feel your brain just loosing up in a matter of speaking. The point is everything needs to be cool down. There is a lot of heat in our bodies and sometimes is good to cool down!! You might say oh sleep helps and eating the right foods. Sure they do take part but cooling your wires/ central nervous system down helps the brain from overloading with heat and we experience this with colds and headaches. Our heads burning from not cooling down. You might say take a cold bath or shower, or run in the rain but that won't affect the inside as complete contact with a cold compress to the best spot to the nervous system. I feel better so you should try it! I was impress. You don't take chances you'll never know what works for you or not
I thought this was a joke, but after someone said they tried it I'm not sure.

I also heard that if you take the battery out of your phone and rub it on your head for 5 minutes, you can actually recharge it.
But my favorite is other quacks calling out this quackery

As a doctor of Chinese medicine I would NEVER put ice on this point .. We don't use ice !
Or as I call it, not a doctor.

Funny that it makes use of ice on an important acupuncture point. As an acupuncturist with over 15 years experience I can tell you my colleagues and I would find it foolish to repeatedly apply ice to the area. You'll just end up with headaches and a tight neck.
The few scientific studies done on acupuncture have found that sticking needles randomly instead of on "qi lines" has the same effect as actual acupuncture.
