HS classmate I didn't know very well and has apparently turned into a viral status bot and FB games superstar (CityVille, Gourmet Ranch, who knows how many others). Block time.

KB24, I'm sure more people have done that to him. And he may not hate "Chinese" people, he may just hate whatever culture that is that facilitates such rude custom. Like, maybe Chinese people in America don't do that? I don't know. I would hate the custom of people cutting in line, and I'm sure that isn't limited to "mainland Chinese".

I'm xenophobic of people who leave that last "ue" off the word "queue", regardless of what color they are.

I don't hate Indian-Americans but I do hate the ones who stand 1 inch behind me in line. Especially after I do that white person thing where you turn around and stare at them like "ahem, been here 6 generations bro...step off" and they still don't understand you are flowing with American Independent Spirit and this space is my space.

I've got a few Indian friends (wouldn't say they are some of my best friends). Met 2 of them back in College. Thought it was funny that both guys, on separate occasions, told me, without prompt, "never trust an Indian". lol. Maybe they were both lying? I didn't know if I could trust either guy.

China has 1.3 billion people. India has 1.2 billion. Keep in mind that world population is 7 billion. So you r passing judgement on more than 1/3rd of the worlds population based on a few people of that country you encounter?

regarding passing judgement on 1+ billion. Yes imo

say you see 200 out of 300 mainland chinese act in a certain way (random sample), I'm going to go on to conclude a random mainland chinese person will have about a 2/3 chance of acting that certain way. A random sample of 50+ is about where I start stereotyping

I'm friends with a lot of teachers on Facebook. Most of them (obv) young teachers 3ish years into their careers or so. All of them constantly have Facebook statuses bitching about how much money they make and how all these other professions make more money than them but don't "make as big of an impact."

I mean it's incessant... at least one per day will post a status complaining he/she doesn't make enough money for having "one of the hardest" jobs in America.

I want to reply every single time: "Ever stop to think there's a reason your salary isn't very high? Did someone lie to you before you decided to become a teacher about what the expected salary is? What did you expect?"

Then, this summer, all of these same people posted statuses about how nice it is to be able to sleep in all summer, do whatever they want and not have to work for 3 months. Always have been fine people to me, but these statuses seriously make me want to choke them.

I like the accusatory tone of "I'm pretty sure I know the ones that will" implying that anyone who doesn't is an evil *******.

Facebook's very own Romeo and Juliet announced that they were "in a relationship" just over a month ago. Since then they've spammed my feed with heart-warming declarations of love for one another:









Unfortunately, their true love was not to be.







So now Juliet is reduced to "liking" inane statements that reflect her hearbreak, and making forlorn posts on Romeo's wall. Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things.

I had heard something similar, so when backpacking through France I made sure to memorize one phrase in French: "Bonjour (bonsoir), Monsieur (Madame), s'il vous plait, parlez vous anglais?"

In case the translation isn't obvious, it means, "Good day (evening), sir (madam), please, do you speak English?" Worked great, never had any issues with the ones that knew English being helpful.

I love when a relationship status goes to single, and then girls make comments like "awwww im so sorry babe, call me!!" while guys like the status and say stuff like "back on the market? i call dibs"
