I'm European, and I think that the way most of us see you all Americans is the following:

East/West coasts: Liberal, rather educated, not into religion too much. Pretty much like the western/central Europe.

Everything in between coasts: Crazy conservative, uneducated dumb lolreligious nuts rednecks that'd snap reelect George W Bush given a chance. That's minus a couple big US cities such as Chicago etc I guess.

Not saying it's the exact truth, but it's definitely the way the US is seen by many EU
