...and of course a bunch of people ask "ARE YOU OK?!!!!" to which she doesn't respond. Instead she waits until the next morning and posts a new status update:

With more people asking "what happened?!" to which she does not respond.


How do people not realize how douchey it is to make vague attention-whoring posts like this on fb?

I dunno seems pretty douchey to me. Better ask Dids, arbiter of all things douchey, just to be on the safe side.

DIDS RULING: Any status that invites more questions than it answers is super douchey. Especially **** like that where people will obviously be concerned for the person.

My friend did this just last week and it bothered the hell out of me. It's extremely douchey.

Methinks you should out the name of this young girl so I can friend her and tell her that she is a douche. B/c it's important that she knows.

It's about 99.7% likely that this girl has daddy issues.

i got a lot of classy Facebook friends. The vague nature would not have gone without some speculating or clearing up of the issue. I can well imagine someone suggesting they ****ed her until she couldn't walk being among the very first of replies...

It seems that people haven't discovered that updating your friend's status to "I love big dicks" when they are away from the computer isn't so hilarious anymore.

Agree. That's just straight-up attention whoring for no other reason than taking inventory of your "friends who care!"

A friend of mine (female) posted the other day "Uggh what a horrible day." to which a bunch of people in-the-know responded with "I'm so sorry about this" etc. One person who didn't know what the implications of the vague update were clicked "like". Then minutes later he posted "Oh - sorry to click "like". I had no idea your cousin died today"

super easy considering people are copy/pasting the exact thing and there's websites where you can search all posts ever made on fb

edit- too close to my 3k post to waste another post but imsakidd is right. can't find any of them. but open book didn't even have mine that i've searched before on a different site (that i've since forgotten the name of)
