Here's another one: politics posts. Basically, people who are so sheltered that they cannot even conceive that someone outside their world view -ie white, middle class, urban liberal- exists. (I say this as someone who is also a white, urban, very socially liberal.)
Canada had a big election last night. The Conservatives (read: Republicans lite) won a huge victory, mostly because our version of the Democrats hired a wiener to run for Prime Minister who couldn't even get elected to Parliament by winning his own riding (this is like Obama running and losing Chicago).

There are people outside of your immediate circle of friends in Toronto who do not necessarily share all your political opinions...like Rural Alberta and Saskatchewan (read: American Deep South).
The funny thing is that our version of right wing is basically American left and our left wing is, like, almost uncomfortably left.
