A friend of mine knows someone who rents a floor in a private house, and over the course of him living there the landlord have been badly mistreating him. He is about to move out of there soon and was curious to what he can do as a revenge possibly without the landlord being notice.

I was thinking of bringing termites into the house just right on the last day before he moves, but then it's hard to find them.

If you fail to obtain termites, bring in a flea infested dog, cat, or better yet several flea infested dogs and cats. Fleas are a bitch to get rid of once they lay eggs in the carpet and furniture.

But seriously, you could just run ads for the place at half the current rent with your landlord's phone number. After that dies down, do the same thing with the landlord's car.

When you get bored with that, do the same with the landlord's wife....

I spot 3 problems:
-kind of obvious that the landlord would know it's him (doesn't wanna get traced afterwards)
-where to get the flea infested dog
-how you going to get it without being infested yourself

Need examples of how landlord has been supposedly treating your friend badly in order to determine the appropriate level of revenge, if any, needed.

I find it a little hard to believe the landlord is screwing with your friend just for the sake of being a dick. By "stingy, not so easy-going" do you mean they get pissed when your buddy is regularly late/short with rent, or they get pissed that your friend damaged the place?

They have been drawing minute amounts of permanent glue on his car, purposely stomping on the floor above, slaming doors at night when they come home to wake him up etc. and he was just being any ordinary tenant

Although no specific proof but they haven't been friendly to him. They also charged him extra $50 to the rent for Internet 'cause he used over the 2GB limit they have on the plan when it was agreed that Internet is included before he moved in.
