When I used to house McDonald's in college a $20 order would be like a #2 super sized, a 20 piece nugget, a Big Mac and a chocolate shake.

I think $300 is hard for one person at McDonald's.

It's a slippery term though because it specifically mentions airports as an example, so premium locations out of step with the local market are excluded. However the standard pricing in Norway is way above the US, i.e. not premiun / inflated pricing - for Norway.

Of course it's an angle, but I don't see how else he has a chance.

That order is like 3000 cal w/o the soda. Even with the salads and fruit there is no chance this guy does it. I mean we're talking upwards of ingesting over 100,000 calories in a day and a half... Seems like a dangerous amount to ask the body to do

As discussed in the FF food, it is 10k cal of apples. Still a lot, but nowhere near 100k.

Or 8.5k cal apples, 1.5k cal salad. Sounds doable.

Who said 100k of apples? I was saying if you eat like quoted in the post I quoted it would be upwards of 100k calories for the $1000 challenge even if you eat $200 of apples or whatever it was.

36 hours = 5 meals so it's $200/meal. You should spend it on the items with the lowest amount of calories/$. Apple slices are 15 cal/$. So if you could eat only that it would be 3000 cal/meal which seems doable, the minimal amounts for burger and fries make it harder off course.
