About time, he's been bringing the show down for months. Was very good in his day, but he's totally lost it.

Apparently, I'm one of the few people that loves/loved Artie and hated Jackie. If Jackie comes back, I'd be really pissed.

i dont want jackie full time, but every now and again would be great. the torturing of each other was at its all time best when he was on board.

Jackie was very, very good behind the scenes, as a writer. People forget that.

The show however was at its best, IMO, when Billy West was on. It's never been as funny since he left.

Do any of you Jackie proponents actually listen to the show?

A few weeks ago, Howard mentioned that he was CELEBRATING the anniversary of the day Jackie left the show. Every year, Howard buys a new calender, and circles dates that are important to him (birthdays, etc). And every year, he circles the date that Jackie quit.

Howard mentioned how greatly relieved he was that Jackie left. Jackie's constant bickering and negotiating was a great distraction, and Howard is glad to be rid of him.

During this discussion, Howard made it clear that outside of an occasional interview segment, Jackie was not welcome back.

So let's drop the Jackie discussion, because it has a 0% chance of happening.

Do you listen to the show? The conflicts between people makes up about half of the entertainment. Jackie vs Fred and Jackie vs Howard would make for good radio.

Amusingly enough, it looks like Monday will be an all day Stuttering John Spotlight, including his fight with AJ.

Regarding Artie's finances, there was an episode a while back where Howard was asking the others what they would do when the show was over. Specifically he asked if they had a million dollars in the bank and a house. Artie said he did. Fred and Gary didn't.

Jackie won't be back because Robin has said a number of times that she would quit if came back.

Of course the reason she'd quit is because Jackie is the only one who had the guts to tell Robin to her face that she's a talentless stupid cackling ****. Jackie quitting was the greatest day in Robin's life, since everyone else on the show now is too much of a pussy to tell her to STFU.

She reads the news..... and is the reason why Howard is where he is today.

Jst been listeing to the Takai shows and they have to get him as a permenant fixture. Takai and one of the forementioned stand ups would be cool

Suprised with all the Robin hate. If they didnt have Robin then they'd still need a female sidekick imo. I figure that to be pretty essential to the show.

Disagree. She adds nothing, they have to battle with her for an hour to get her to talk about her personal life (which everyone else does freely), doesn't have any insightful comments or funny quips. I agree with O&A when it comes to having a woman on morning radio shows.

Also, I agree with the Takai comments. He's radio gold, and I think Artie playing off of him makes him even funnier.

I like Jackie, but I think the best thing about him coming back would be that Robin would leave. That being said, I dont think Howard will ever bring Jackie back.

Also, I think I remember Adam Corolla saying he was offered 700k for the job in 2001, So I would assume Artie got way more that 200k back then.

Jackie's role was different. He never spoke as much as Artie on air. Howard would never bring him back.

Howard doesn't want the most talented person there. He makes nobodies into stars. He needs a sidekick that he can gel with and not take over the show. Artie knew when to speak and when to shut up. During interviews, Artie is usually busy eating and doesn't interrupt.

I have always been curious as to what Fred, Gary, and Robin make. Robin seems to be richer from her lifestyle, but she also doesn't have a family to support.

There was the whole thing with Artie seeing Gary's check and commenting on making more than him, and he seemed surprised about that so I would assume Gary makes close to what Artie makes. Of course Artie probably makes 5x as much on the road as he does from the actual show.

Why do they need a female? Aside from the weekly song parody about her boobs/vagine, she doesn't really add anything to the show. She's not funny, she doesn't discuss her personal life, and her cackling is annoying. Is she cooler than 99% of the female population? Yeah, probably. Is she a key player in keeping the fans interested? No effing way. Langford or Hein could easily do her job (Lisa G could, too, but she annoys the piss out of me). For me, Robin is less entertaining/important than about 99% of the people involved with the show.

This is gonna be great. Howard is gonna give Artie a multi-month suspension to get his crap together. He'll run a bunch of potential replacements through the studio during that period which will be very interesting. Artie will either get an attitude adjustment and come back more fully committed to the show, or he'll be gone permanently and we'll have a great replacement in his chair.

Did you read my post? I didn't say Jackie was a bad idea. I said Howard is opposed to it, so it won't happen.

Would be refreshing to have different comedians sit in the Artie chair for a month or two while Howard decides who the replacement is.
